COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"Long time Great Lakes Brewing News writer and homebrewing enthusiast Robert Hughey stopped in. Hughey came armed with fresh hops (well, technically frozen from the fall harvest but they tasted pretty darn fresh) from his backyard garden which were quickly employed in an Ameican style wet-hopped IPA. Look for the IPA to be featured on cask at February’s Project X."

[3589-20110210] Cask. Mild grainy hops grass aroma has a hint of sweetness. Hazy, brown orange body with a quick foamy white head. Lightly bitter grainy grassy hops flavour hints at lemon in the finish. Medium body shows a little booze as it progresses. Good, repeatable. (6/3/8/3/15-) 3.5

Cask at Project X. Deep amber pour. The nose is lightly fruity and a bit caramelly. Not overtly hoppy or bitter. A little bit of grassy character. The malts are a little bit too sweet for my tastes and the hops (although I know wet hopped beers aren’t nearly as hoppy as those made with conventionally hopped beer) don’t really come through. It’s okay - but it not the sort of thing that holds up for four months past brew day.

2011-02-10. Hazy golden orange amber body with a tiny white head. 3+ Flavour is pleasantly hoppy, juicy mild citrus, green leafy hop under current have the barest minty touch. 6+ Mild aroma is pleasant, hops over a mild malt core, lingering juicy hops and green herbaceous hop character 6+ Average palate. Not as assertive as some, it is fairly well round and enjoyably drinkable. Cask at the brewery
