UPDATED: MAY 2, 2011 On cask at Volo
Aroma aromatic hop character. Sugary base , soft floral bottom. Light hint of alcohol.
Appearance mildly hazed , golden ale with presentable creamy white crown.
Flavor and Palate : medium plus bodied. Soft, silky texture made this stronger ale quiet smooth. Truly fresh mint like notes, some apple, peach. Hefty but easy going.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thin frothy lacing white head. In aroma, a super fruity and floral hops with citrus notes, lichees, papaya, beautiful. In mouth, a smooth grassy caramel malt with lingering attenuated floral hops, pink grapefruit pulp, very good. On cask at Arrow and Loon, April 15 2012.

Cask at Burger Bar. Hazy copper pour. Aroma is pine, citrus and tropical fruit, bleach. Hints of berries and vanilla. "Casky" slightly oily and chalky mouthfeel. Very nice balance. Flavorful, slightly sweet and very hoppy, clean bitter finish. Great stuff!

Thanks to jerc for this. Pours a clear auburn with a good white head and nice lacing. Aroma is faint citrus hops. Taste is lacking, slight bitterness and thin on body. Citrus hops and slight malt. There have been better.

Pale golden pour with a tight white head. The aroma is quite citrusy. Bright lemon peel and a little of light hoppiness and a bit of soft resin. The flavour is lighter than the aroma would suggest but it’s appropriately dry. Lightly hoppy on the back - very tasty stuff. Lingering citrus. Fruity and zesty. It’s good.

650 ml Project X bottle from brewery. Pours a slightly hazy bright honey colour with good-sized white head. Big juicy citrus hop aroma. Flavour has light pale malt and lots of fruity/citrusy hop taste. Body is thinner than I would have anticipated. Otherwise very impressive.

Sample at GLB Volo Tasting. Pours a orange gold with thin off white head. Aroma is pungent citrus hops, quite pithy, some malt. Taste is full frontal hops but not too overpowering. The malt is there to give it balance. Very tasty and I was spoiled that there were 6 IPA’s on this night! Ratings got foggy as the night wore on.

Cask at C’est What - came a clear-ish honey gold with creamy white head that lasted in some form or another for the whole pint and left thick lace down the whole glass. Aroma is quite stunning - fresh hops, field strawberry, mango, apricot, fruity, fruity, fruity. So good. Flavours of strawberry, kiwi and some citrus are upfront with enough malt to keep the thing balanced and super-drinkable. Pleasing bitter finish. What a beautiful beer, and congrats to GLB, the best brewery going in the province right now.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2011 20011-03-17. Brief notes only. The hops seemed even more assertive than at Volo, but also a little more harsh with more citrus, but also more citrus seed, that was slightly astringent in the finish. Body a bit thinner as well. Cask at C’est What
2011-03-11. Hazy orange body, modest white head. 3+ Lovely aroma of tangerine citrus, mild malt. 8+ Flavour has a similar tangerine like citrus character, mild bitterness throughout, very light astringency in the finish. Malt is supportive but a secondary player to the hops. Average palate is softly carbonated, and could be more full bodied for my preference but this seems to suit it somehow. Enjoyable, very drinkable. Tasty! Great Lakes Tap Takeover at Volo, Toronto

On cask at Volo. A good cask, it grows on me. Simcoe hop I think. A story only in a single hop, not complex. Bubbly cask head on golden.
