COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The weather channel describes Lake Effect snow as a “mass of sufficiently cold air moving over a body of water creating an unstable temperature profile in the atmosphere.” Who cares. This beer, however, has nothing to do with that drivel. It was inspired by a summer spent drinking heaps of IPAs on a stoop on Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo, NY.

Can at home. Pours a hazy orange brown with a white head. Big aroma - lots of nectarine. Medium body, medium carbonation. Light orange sweetness with pine, floral stuff, light sherbet... Lovely balance. Good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Solide IPA, Au nez, forte senteur de pamplemousse, agrume, orange. En bouche, résineux et pamplemousseux! Finale Agrumé à souhait, eh, non pas vrai, épineux avec une excellente amertume!!

Draught and wolf bar on bloor. Orange brown body, small off-white head. The aroma is orange, caramel and hops. The taste is mellow, balanced and with notes of bread and a long slow finish that’s not too hop filled.

500 mL can. I'm a hop fan but this seems a bit unbalanced and dare I say it, excessive? Hops aroma as soon as the can was open. Pours a golden cloudy yellow, with an attractive head that shrinks but lasts. Strong astringent grapefruit aroma that continues on the palate with quite a bit of astringency. A bitter finish that lasts and lasts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Huge, persistent, fluffy white head. Hazy gold colour. Sweet citrus, tangerine, clementine, pithy orange, light honey malt sweetness. High carbonation, a little too high. Dry finish.

More hops than I normally would want to contend with, but this may be the hoppy-ish beer that other hoppy beers want to be..

(tap) clear bright amber colour with a small white head; aroma of citrus, stewed fruit; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish

Draught: Perhaps a bottled version would be more concentrated, I’m not going to knock this one but perhaps I was expecting more? Very decent standard hop aroma but nothing exotic. Appearance and a creamy, smooth mouth feel and medium-mild malt-hop balance. Short aftertaste. To try again.

I love IPA’s and this one got me at the first sip. Pours with a nice puffy head, unfiltered so it looks like a Lake Effect Storm. Smooth tasty, dood work as usual GLB

650 ml bottle. Pours a veiled, slightly coppery golden with a nice white head. Aroma is grapefruit, cereal, sugar. Flavor is loads of fruits, grapefruit, orange, lemon, pineapple and mango. Finish is fruity candies, with nice grapefruity bitterness. Lingering bitterness. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Superb IPA!
