On tap at Volo. Great nose, with lots of grapefruit. Not too sweet, not too sour. Citrus in the flavour, and the bitterness is harsh, but this actually works, somehow. I’d love to be able to get this one on a regular basis.

(cask at Bryden’s in Toronto, June 19th) Poured a murky orange with gold highlights and a decent white froth for a cask pint. Huge aromas of rich orange rind, grapefruit, hints of tropical fruits, resin, pine, crystal malt sweetness. Those big friuty hop notes show up on the palate well-integrated with crystal malts and a cleaner sweetness leading to a nice pine resin and grassy bitterness at the finish, very clean. Mouthfeel quite full and smooth as a good cask should be, with just a hint of carb. A beautifully stitched together and eminently drinkable cask IPA with big body and big flavour.

Finally got a taste of this beer. Smells very fruity, rich tangerine and hops. A good low carbonation - tastes almost like it was on cask, though I don’t think they have cask beers at The Rhino. Decent lacing. Slightly cloudy blond. Taste has bitterness and lots of flavour. Very smooth drink on this one.

Project X bottle. Great American hoppy aroma and taste, with a good balance of malty sweetness. Very high on the bitter side, and very good.

Pfriesen’s bottle. Amber pour, a thumbs worth of head. Great lacing throughout the glass. Citrus fruits in the aroma - Grapefruit, Grapefruit rind, Pine needles - bitter. BItter hops up front, Young Grapefruit, Lemon rind, Sweet Crystal malt. Medium body, good carb. I’d be happy with a few bottles of this in my fridge.

Cask pint at Loon. Murky amber with a soso off-white froth. Really nice grapefruit, woodsy, citrus hops, good caramel malt support, orange peel, resinous, delicious. Medium body, nearly still (cask). A bit more malt than the nose, still plenty of nice, juicy hops, more pine/resin/woodsy than the nose and somewhat less fruity, delicious; dry with really good bitterness and a caramel/toffee/bready finish with some nice hop notes.

On tap at Gig’s. A hazed gold with a decent white cap. Westcoast IPA aromas - floral, grapefruit, citrus some substantia malts. Robust, thick moth feel, big blast of citrusy-resinous hops are balanced off well with ample crystal and pale malts. Clean bitter finish. Very fresh tasting. Good stuff.

I tried this beer on draught on June 8, 2012 at "C’est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a slightly hazed medium gold with a thin creamy cap that laced well. The aroma was grainy malt, grapefruity hops, and some mango/pineapple notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is very citrusy with the grapefruit hops up front, and the tropical fruit tones less pronounced, but still there.

Draught at Burger Bar. Hazy orange pour, decent solid white fizzy-foamy head. Juicy cirtrus and resin aroma, mild alcohol - taste follows, oddly like pine nuts. Average body, solid carbination, medium-long resin/grassy finish. Solid. ---Rated via Beer BADASS for iPhone

On tap. Pours a hazy orange, fluffy white head. Big grapefruit and pineapple aroma, spruce and resin. Smooth. Little bit sweet up front, mostly grapefruit bitter tannins with a clean bitter finish. Balanced. ABV well hidden. Really nice!
