The weather channel describes Lake Effect snow as a “mass of sufficiently cold air moving over a body of water creating an unstable temperature profile in the atmosphere.” Who cares. This beer, however, has nothing to do with that drivel. It was inspired by a summer spent drinking heaps of IPAs on a stoop on Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo, NY.

Pours a hazy golden-amber with suspended solids(looks like some hop sediment) and a nice creamy dull white head with a pretty good amount of lace. Aroma is tropical fruit, zesty citrus, light pine and a nice light sweet Marley back. Flavour is zesty citrus, pine, sweet tropical fruit, medium bitterness, moderate caramel and a somewhat dry finish.

Thanks to cfrancis for this one. Pours a lightly hazy golden orange with a huge frothy white head and tons of lacing. Aroma of sweet pale malts, light caramel, guava, passionfruit, mango and other tropical fruits with a light touch of grass in the background. Taste is an extremely well balance of tropical fruit hops, sweet pale malts and bitterness. Nothing harsh is found up front or in the finish and just an absolute pleasure to drink!

Bottle @ ZZT 9 thanks to Joes. Hazy orange color, decent sized white head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma has malts, hops, fruityness of mango and pineapple. Taste malts, hops, bitter, fruity. In the end there’s more bitterness than fruityness. Nice though!
