2009-10-08. Very dark brown body wit a small beige head. 3+ Aroma has an herbal character that reminds me of Jagermeister but isn’t really, ephemeral hints of cumin/curry that I am later told is apparently fenugreek. Flavour is similar, sweet malty core with ephemeral cumin that takes me a minute to identify, other interest spice/herbal character. Average plus palate is lightly carbonated. Pretty interesting but I found the herbal spice character a bit to strong for my own tastes. Cask at the brewery

Project X. Cask. Aroma is brown sugar, light coffee and caramel, deep brown, pours a small tan head. Flavour is certainly maple, the veg/grain somehow becomes a mild chocolate. Light bodied, pleasantly bitter, quite sessionable for the abv. Eric as always, You’ve done it again. Good on ya Simon. Seemed to me like small porter. Yum!

[2519-20091008] Cask. Odd dentist’s office herbal aroma mixed with mild wood and toothpaste. Hazy, dark brown body with a quick foamy tan head. More wood and herbal earth malt in the flavour with a mild hop finish. Medium body has bold liquor characteristics. Solid, nice blend, mostly good balance.
