Bottle from the brewery. No t as good as the regular APA in the cans. Lots of wafting c-hop aroma. Musty oak. A little acidic bitterness. Oak detracted rather than contributing any compexity. Average mouthfeel.

2011-09-30. Dark amber-red body with a small beige head. 3+ Mild aroma, light fruit, malt and wood.6+ Flavour is similar, modest malt, oaky overtones, finishes a bit woody but sweet malt comes back for the aftertaste. 6+ Average bodied palate. Decent. Bottle shared by Blankboy
My 1000th Ontario rating at time of entry

My bottle (660ml) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with an average size frothy off-white head. Very nice aroma, hoppy along with caramel malt, fruit and some wood. Flavour is also nice and hoppy along with caramel malt, wood and a nice bitter finish. Medium bodied. Better then expected, the oak-aging is not overdone which I appreciate -- really good stuff.

Thanks to Blankboy. Appearance: Dark copper orange with a medium white head. Aroma: Lots of hops, some lovely woodiness, a little alcohol, lovely floral perfume notes. Flavour: Wow - beautiful wood flavour, bitter hops, very floral, lovely tangy bitter finish. Delicious.
