3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had a free sample of this at the lcbo. Smells spicy, nutmeg and all spice the promo girl mentioned. The beer pour orange with some foam. Pretty high carbonation. There’s some really bitter nutmeg finish here that may be a bit overdone, but its a bit of a variation from all these pumpkin beers showing up. That being said i didn’t buy a bottle.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear orange with a but of puffy white head that dissipates slowly. Smell is pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, and some other spices I can’t quite pick out. Palate is medium bodied with lots of carbonation. Taste is a bit bland, there’s not much at first, but then you get some bitterness and a bit of spice, which fades away into a lingering slightly bitter aftertaste. Not the best pumpkin beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Really liked this. Pours a dull....er...pumpkin colour. Smells like cloves and nutmeg. Pumpkin pie too. Sweet pumpkin pie flavours. Piney bitter finish. Lingering warm spices. What a nice brew.

2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
650ml bottle. Clear orange body, big fluffy head, medium retention and sporadic lacing. Spicy sweet nose, coriander, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, pumpkin. Taste is soft and sweet upfront, with a strong hop bitterness and dryness that kicks in later, good dose of hops, and no pumpkin. A little worse than you would expect from the aroma.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I was more impressed with St. Ambroise’s take on the pumpkin ale, but if you are a fan of the style this one shouldn’t let you down. It’s easy to drink and not as ’spicy’ as I expected it, but it’s easily recognizable as an autumn pumpkin brew.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very hazy orange pour. Light head. Spicy cinnamon pumpkin scent, pretty much as expected. Like sticking your nose over a cold pumpkin pie. I say cold as a hot pie would fill the room with scent and this beer does not do that. Interesting mouth. All that was in the nose is in the mouth. Much more pumpkin and spice then beer which I’m sure will turn some people off. I can’t quite decide myself. While the taste is rather nice it’s odd. Synthetic maybe? The only other Pumpkin Ale I have had was from McAuslin (sp?) I definitely prefer that. This is good but not as good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
650mL bottle from LCBO. Nice clear orange colour. Pumpkin and spice aroma. Taste is very spicy, with a little pumpkin. Feels a little bit "thin" - not the mouthful you’d expect from a pumpkin beer. Still, quite nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pale amber pour with a thick, tight laced white head. The aroma is lovely. Softly spicy with a mixture of nutmeg and allspice (fairly different from other brewers who tend to go with more cinnamon) and a little bit of light black pepper as well. Moderate palate with a nice touch of light sweetness and a bit of soft pumpkin character through the middle. It’s a pretty tasty autumnal ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber purchased at the LCBO in Dundas. Pours a very light copper orange with a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is spicy and of pumpkin and something else, nutmeg possibly. Taste is spicy and of pumpkin, hop bitter. Quite light in the mouth feel. There is an after taste that I find with all Great Lakes Brewing brews that is very tart. Almost mouth puckering.
