2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Hammy78 (438) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 22, 2012
Can purchased at the LCBO in Dundas Ontario. Pour is a clear brown with a reddish hue. Initial huge white head that recedes to nothing but a small ring, leaves a splatter of lacing. Aroma is grainy, almost corn and a little yeast. Tastes clean, crisp and light. Not tasting much, a little grain and bitterness. Not their best brew, thats for sure.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 DeanF (1477) - Iqaluit, Nunavut, CANADA - DEC 2, 2011
Wow, a gold medal winner! Forgive me if I’m suspicious of competition winners... there are just too many competitions around to "award" medals for any kind of real incentive to care aboot them. But this one pours with a copper-brown body, some modest carbonation and a well-behaved head on top. Very soft malt aroma. Flavour is a lot of malt and little else - no complexity. Very drinkable though, in a forgettable kind of way. Tasted at 6.8 celsius, but even if warmed up you wouldn’t find any complexity. An average beer for a boring day.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 TheJester (1229) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 16, 2011
473 mL can. Dark for a lager - deep bronze. Thin head. The aroma is spicy-sweet malt, but not as appealing as that sounds. Taste is pleasant without being particularly interesting. Thin caramel. Decent body. Better than any mainstream lagers.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 blankboy (4281) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2011
Can (473ml). Pours a deep, bubbly orange-copper with an average size lasting fluffy white head. Mild aroma of grain, lightly toasted caramel malt, light vegetal notes and a hint of hops. Flavour follows the aroma with lightly toasted malt, grain, light hops and adds some nuts. Average bodied. It’s a decent Lager but it’s not my thing.

from can, thin and uninspiring but the fact that it comes from a smaller brewery raises it up in my mind above some of the other rubbish that gets sold in Canada
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 JoeMcPhee (6819) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 5, 2011
Deep amber-brown pour with a thick tight tan head. The aroma has a little bit of light toffee along with a touch of oddly metallic character as well. A fairly dirty DMS sort of aroma over a thin malt base. There is a touch of dark malt character but it tastes like it’s from roasted malt for colour - not really from any sort of character malt at all. There is a little bit of earthiness but it’s not really from either hops or malt - it’s just kind of there. Moderately astringent and not really all that good.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 whitecap (160) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 1, 2011
341ml bottle from the LCBO. note: black label bottle with red writing. I believe this beer has been improved since its inception. Reviewing the new bottle from 2011. Pours clear off-red with minimal white head. caramel and malt aroma. Simple sweet taste of caramel malt. highly drinkable but nothing exceptional.
