As a child, RoboHop was shunned for his laser beam eyeballs, bulbous hop-shaped torso and robotic limbs.
During adolescence however, things changed for our hero. He captained his high school hockey team, routinely took over dance floors, and thusly, garnered a lot of attention from female classmates.
Today, RoboHop battles blandness by making this killer-hoppy and bracingly bitter beer. Suffer.
Seasonal: Part of Tank Ten Series.

650ml bottle. Light amber with a frothy white head. Slight haze. Flavors are mango, pineapple, lychee, lime, resinous hops, sweet malts, sugar, bread, alcohol, onion and grass with spicy and floral notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth texture. Dry fruity finish.

Bomber from LCBO. Clear light copper with no head. Floral hop and light pine aroma, fair amount of caramel and biscuit malt, some bittersweet grapefruit, booze, some hoppy nail polish characteristics (although not is not totally fair but its what comes to mind). Low carbonation, moderate+ body, bitter but with a boozy sweetness, tropical fruit on the finish along with a fair amount of malt. Will have to try another bottle or this on tap to see if its the beer or this specific bottle that doesn’t do it for me. For now much prefer the karma citra.

Bottle from Dundurn LCZbO. Pours a clear golden colour, fluffy white head, lots of sheets of lace. Nose is sweet caramel malt mixed with citrus h. Tastes bitter and sweet, piney hop notes. Pretty tasty.

Filtered deep gold body with a white head that leaves gorgeous lacing in the glass. The nostrils are almost stung by the citrus fruits pouring off this one. There is some rich caramel malt lurking in the background though. Also some vegetal qualities as it warms. The palate is creamy, but cleansing. Tastes are like biting down hard on bitter fruits. Grapefruit is dominant, but it has lots more going on than that. The 8.5% abv hides itself well. A highly quaffable, highly dangerous brew!

650ml bottle from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario. Orange amber in colour with a thin lasting white head, good lacing. The aroma is of pine, bread, some grapefruits. The flavour is highly bitter, lots of citrus, pine, caramel sweetness too. Finishes long, bitter. Pretty nice.

Pours a hazy golden liquid mounted by a solid snow-white head. Aromas are not that complex. Citrus and freshness are pretty much what you get from the beer, wich is not a bad thing actually: this one goes straight to the point. I got much more complex flavours and mouthfeel than what expected. I mainly got pine and citrus with a little mineral back feel to it that added 1 point to the freshness scale. Easely drinkable, this beer is not revolutionnay bet still pleasant to share with a friend while cooking the dinner on the BBQ!

650 mL bottle. Hazy copper-amber pour, few fingers of foamy off-white head. Fairly good retention. Big aroma of citrus, grapefruit. Taste has some light malt but is really a hop bomb, tropical fruit, grapefruit, resin, lots of bitterness.

I’d forgotten how much of a hop bomb this beer is. Tons of grapefruit and citrus on the nose and tastes more of the same, with a boost of some pine and sweet caramel malts. Refreshingly bitter with the booze nicely masked. Terrific IIPA.

Pours a hazy orangish copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, sweet pale malts, light caramel, pine and spruce. Taste is pine, spruce, grapefruit, citrus and a complex caramel malt balance with a crisp and smooth bitterness. Medium high carbonation gives this a nice crisp finish... Love this IIPA!
