As a child, RoboHop was shunned for his laser beam eyeballs, bulbous hop-shaped torso and robotic limbs.
During adolescence however, things changed for our hero. He captained his high school hockey team, routinely took over dance floors, and thusly, garnered a lot of attention from female classmates.
Today, RoboHop battles blandness by making this killer-hoppy and bracingly bitter beer. Suffer.
Seasonal: Part of Tank Ten Series.

The first time in a bomber rather then can, it still holds up very well. The hoppy bitterness gives way to a citrusy back end that is quite refreshing.

bottle 8.5%. Poured hazy golden with a skim off-white head. Citrusy grapefruit aroma. Full bodied, creamy carbonation, sticky mouthfeel. An earthy hop flavour, bitter citrus grapefruit, peppery spice, caramel malt note, with a warming finish.

Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.

Bomber from the LCBO, written 8.5% ABV. Pours a slight hazy golden-amber colour with a warm cap, frothy, long lasting with foamy-soapy lace. Aromas start off on pure grapefruit with its zest. Later, notes of pine needles and mild caramel appear. Well-balanced dry mouthfeel with some medium-bodied wetness and crispness. Again, lots of grapefruit in the taste and not as much caramel as in most DIPA. Alcohol is well-hidden so goes down nicely. Feels more like a normal IPA, which is a compliment.

From a 650ml bottle. Pours a big frothy beige head and has a hazy golden appearance. Thick dirty sticky lacing. Aromas are quite citrusy, piney, floral and herbal hops. A bit yeasty as well. Flavours are also very much on the citrus and bitter hops side. Quite a bit of yeasty notes as well as bready malts. Has a full bodied mouthfeel. Smooth and creamy texture. Average carbonation. Astringent and slightly bitter finish. Easy to drink and hoppy enough for my tastes. Really doesn’t seem like an impy IPA to me though (bottle says 8.5%).

650ml bottle. Milky golden body, small white head, average to poor retention. Delicious aroma of stone fruits, orange caramels, resins, tons of malt, very floral. Taste is equally satisfying: piney, orange candies, honey, grapefruit zest. Bold and sweet.

650mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Nose brings out fresh citrus and resinous hops, some pine, oranges, and a big caramel malt backbone. Flavour brings out bitter citrus rinds, resinous hops, a touch of tropical fruits, and a big caramel malt backbone that never cloys. Big n bold, with a thick malt backbone providing ample balance for the truckload of hops. Excellent.

Can - 473ml. Hazy golden body with a lasting, white frothy head. Fresh hoppy aroma with mango, citrusy, and herbal hints. Its sharp hoppy taste carries herbal, woody, and citrusy notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Nice.
