A hazed orange wheat ale with a thick collapsing white head. In aroma, a pleasant funky peach aroma, with light coriander, banana pulp, and berries. In mouth, a classic hefeweizen taste with light eugenol cloves, bananas and light peaches, quite good. Bomber from LCBO.

Tap at The Rhino. Cloudy golden-yellow pour. There is a little bit of light unripe fruit and a little bit of white pepper character in addition to some bready yeast. There is a touch of light peachy flavour but it is incredibly muddy and fairly bland. A little bit yeasty with a bit of light breadiness in addition to a sort of dank rotted character. It just didn’t work for me.

Caskdays at Great Lakes Brewery. Pours fruity colour with some head and lace. Sour wheat aroma. Medium mouthfeel. Aggressive carbonation. Not very drinkable, better if in the summer.

2011-01-03. Crisp dark golden yellow-orange body with a small foamy beige head that fades. Flavour is a bit muddled, sweet, bit of a fruity character, light bitterness, grassy touches in the background, light alcohol and hints at acetone. Aroma is a bit of a mess, hints of alcohol, acetone, and odd fruity weirdness. 4+ Smooth average plus bodied palate is under carbonated. Not awful, but a bit discordant and does not pull you in for more. Okay but not one of their better offerings unfortunately. Bottle from the LCBO Bayview, Toronto

Bottle 650 ml
Aroma sweet tart character of wheat malt , light accent of peach. Creamy sweet sided top. 5+
Appearance slight haze on bright golden-amber ale , some lace.
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied , silky , almost creamy in texture. All this followed by carbonation. Sweet sided with medium light scent of peach fruit. Some good weizen tartness on top. Still over all did not carry far.

Cask at Toronto Festival of Beers August 5, 2010. (My voice notes indicated that my server ... uh, looked, uh, really ... well let’s just say it was complimentary). Looks like grapefruit juice - pale yellow, murky, with a solid and lasting white head. Smells like lemon and peach, with a background of grain and sweet yeast. Taste follows, just much more grain and correspondingly less fruit - more lemon than peach. Thick body, slightly acidic, mild carbonation, finishes quickly and leaves a bit of a dryly acidic coating on the tongue.

Draught at ’Great Lakes Project X Cask Days Edition’. Pours a very cloudy gold with a small diminishing white head. Mild sweet aroma is a bit sugary along with wheat, yeast and peach candy. Overly sweet flavour of wheat, peach candy, grain and some lemon. Medium bodied. Decent but too sweet for me.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2011 [3425-20101014] Cask. Generic peach soap aroma with a hint of banana. Hazy, medium orange body with a quick foamy white head. More generic peach and banana hints in the flavour. Medium body is a little bitter. Fair, the aroma is unfortunately overpowering. (5/3/6/3/12) 2.9
(Project X @ Great Lakes, Toronto, ON)

[3537B-20110103] 650mL bottle. Fruity grains aroma hints at peach or similar kind of fruit. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Hay-like flavour has some grainy fruits throughout. Medium body. Fair, like the Horseshoe with an infusion of fruit. (5/3-/5/3/10) 2.6

Light aroma of wheats, some yeasr, and a bright but subtle peach. Flavor has the slightest touch of fruity sour funk, and a nice tangy peach finish. The wheat and the peach do well together. Quite refreshing.
