3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Bar Hop, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of piney hops, balanced by just enough malt. Flavour is the same, bringing out shitloads of piney hoppy goodness. The malt backing is thin, but providing just enough counterbalance. A hoplover’s dream.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
473 ml can from brewery. Pours a hazy orange colour with average-sized slightly off-white head that leaves some lace. Aroma is very hoppy to the point of cattiness with tons of citrus and pine resin. Flavour has big grapefruit zest, mango and pine with some hints of spiciness. Quite bitter in the finish but ridiculously easy to drink. Rock solid IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Bar Hop (Toronto). Pale copper with an off white head. Mild citrus hops, some peach, faint malt presence and lemon zest. Mild carbonation and moderate body, starts off dry and then becomes parching, a nice bitterness - enjoyable.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(On tap at Bryden’s, Mar 9 2014) Pours a hazy medium orange, average white bubbly head, no lace. Aroma bright and fruity, has a real southern hemisphere hop character. Grapefruit, tropical fruit, kiwi (?), smells like a nice fresh home-made fruit salad to me. Slight sweet pale malt in support. Flavour really follows the aroma, leading with a ton of fruit and just enough malt for sweetness. The beer dries down in the middle and finishes quite dry but not particularly bitter, quite refreshing. Body fairly average, slightly high carb. Very fruit-forward IPA, super combo of hops. The bright fruit and dry finish would make a great spring-time beer, and in an indirect way remind me of a crisp and fruity white wine. Delicious.

Ok - I have reading this forum for a couple of years without contributing.
GLB Thrust is a great beer.
Aroma- burnt sugar bubblegum notes
Taste- smooth, bitter and sweet at the same time. I suppose I should say notes of lemon or something like that but I can’t ... just beautifully balance- I could drink all day
Thrust another of long line of great GLB (Etobicoke) pale ales..Karma Citra, Johny Simcoe, My Bitter Wife..the list goes on and on
Bellwoods and GLB- If you live in Toronto thats all you need to know (although Nickelbrook, Flying Monkeys and Amdersdam can put out some ineresting batches too!!)

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught pint at Volo. By the way - Dany is, as usual, wrong. Incredibly resiny and catty bitter beer, long finish. Solid body, quite astringent - short review, great beer. Will look for it again.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In short: A hoppy (citrusy/pine needles) yeast soup. Just ok.
How: Bottle 22oz, hand-written label, consumed (probably) fresh a few days after I received it from blankboy, thanks a lot Paul.
The look: Cloudy peach color body topped by an enormous creamy beige head with good retention.
In long: The hoppy nose of medium intensity is typical good old fashion citrus fruits and pine-needles. Taste sees the yeast dominating the malts (a lot of yeast here), bittersweet orange peels, citrus fruits, pine needles. Very fluffy bubbly mouthfeel. Bitterness of medium intensity. Relatively short finish. Just too yeasty for what I like an IPA to be (at least in this bottled version), not refreshing and too fluffy with elusive malts, reminded me of a lot of those bottle refermented Europeans IPA. Not a disappointing beer, but not a pleasant surprise either, but regardless of how good or bad a beer is I’m always depressed after drinking the bottle thinking that I am now older than I was before drinking the bottle.

[4793-20120918] Tap. Citrus orange bitter hops aroma. Clear, bright orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter hoppy citrus peel and heavy grapefruit orange influences in the flavour. Medium body is quite heavy with booziness. Delicious and very drinkable. (8/4/9/5/17) 4.3

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
2012-09-18. Lightly hazy dark orange body, nice off-white head and lace. 3+ Lovely hop character, nice citrus, good amount of bitterness. 8+ Nice hoppy aroma, citrus, citrus seeds. Average bodied palate. Not super complex, but a very nice very enjoyable IPA that shows of the citrusy hops very nicely. On tap at Cest What, Toronto
