COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Designed by NASA scientists, THRUST! is structured to attack you senses. First, it burns into your visual cortex the image of a beer with a deep copper hue topped with a rocky white head. Soon your olfactory bulb should be awoken as the massive dry-hop propels a penetrating aroma of grapefruit, mango, grape, stone fruit and lychee hurling into your forebrain.

Resisting the impulse to keep smelling the beer, you pound back a gulp which illicits a poking and prodding of tropical fruit and resin on your taste buds. Your pallet soon succumbs as THRUST! penetrates and perforates, eventually becoming your new reality.

Cloudy golden with big white head. Big tropical fruit aroma, some grassiness. Slight resinous, sweet malt, piney and very fruity. Super nice stuff! Thanks a lot Tommy.

pours a hazy yellow with a lively head. Aroma has notes of pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. Tasting notes include more tropical fruit, spice, and a pleasant palate that covers the entire mouth. Finish is lightly bitter, with an aftertaste of pineapple. This is an outstanding IPA!! Should rename this Tropical fruit IPA!

On tap at the Arrow and Loon. Lots of grapefruit and citrus is what comes across on the aromas and flavours of this one. Another fine beer from Great Lakes Brewery.

Pours cloudy gold with a frothy white top. Aroma is a huge grapefruit hop blast with piney notes. Taste is a nice up front grapefruit and pine hop bitterness. Some resin. Great beer.

650ml bottle. Pours a fairly thick frothy off-white head. Has a hazy orangey appearance. Aromas are mostly strong citrus and piney hops. Floral hops are apparent as well. Flavours are quite fruity, but mainly citrusy hops. Floral and grassy hops are very much in the forefront. A bit of orange peel as well. Nice bitterness on the palate. Smooth and silky mouthfeel. Easy to drink.

Can (473 ml). From Marcus, thanks!

Appearance: Hazy orange with a medium white head and good lacing.

Aroma: Burst of juicy hops when opening the can and it remains quite hoppy for a while. Grapefruits, mangoes, tropical fruits, light dank hops, mild spiciness and light caramel presence.

Taste: Burst of grapefruits, oranges and mangoes along with a good honeyed malt backbone and a moderate bitterness that fits perfectly with the other components of the taste. Juicy.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate to medium carbonation. Oily and silky mouthfeel. Resinous finish. Dry.

Overall: Excellent juicy IPA with a very good balance, interesting honeyed malt features. Really easy drinking. World-class IPA. I would love having cans of this available in my area.

Pour is gold with a big, fluffy, creamy, wrinkly white cap that lasts FOREVER (foreva-eva? Foreva-eva?) This stuff is hop heaven on the nose, all juicy tropical fruit and peach and citrus with faint bread and honey. Taste-wise it lacks a certain je-ne-sais-quoi - actually it’s carbonation, but it’s got a great bitter, resinous finish, and it goes down like.....things that go down easy. The malt here doesn’t seem as deliciously chewy as their Karma Citra or Lake Effect, but maybe I’m just nitpicking cause I’m an asshole. It’s still damn good.

650ml bottle. Pours a hazy honey colour with a thin off-white head. Smells fantastic. Pine up front, with lots of tropical fruit, peach, pineapple, and the faint smell of malt. Taste wise, fruit forward with grapefruit, peach, mineral heavy bitterness and light malt notes that lead into citrus pith heavy bitterness, mineral notes, light woody notes, and some light graphite, and yeast in the finish. ANOTHER quality IPA from Great Lakes. Man, they got it DOWN.
