COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Designed by NASA scientists, THRUST! is structured to attack you senses. First, it burns into your visual cortex the image of a beer with a deep copper hue topped with a rocky white head. Soon your olfactory bulb should be awoken as the massive dry-hop propels a penetrating aroma of grapefruit, mango, grape, stone fruit and lychee hurling into your forebrain. Resisting the impulse to keep smelling the beer, you pound back a gulp which illicits a poking and prodding of tropical fruit and resin on your taste buds. Your pallet soon succumbs as THRUST! penetrates and perforates, eventually becoming your new reality.

on tap at a tap takeover. Clear amber colour and the beer sports a big hoppy citrus- c-hops aroma with pale malts. More of the same on the palate with a bit of pine cone goodness. I like this one alot.

Pour at the wren on the danforth is hazy & lazy orange with a one finger cap. Dig that crazy ripped citrus peel bouquet daddy-o as it dances in your nose. This is a damn fine IPA, with fresh bursts of hops & shivers of orange marmalade in the flavour. Marnie takes a sip from my glass & assumes im drinking a Radler & she’s right: the grapefruit essence is hopping in this brew. Clearly part of the awesomeness that is the Great Lakes stable. I fear commitment but I have to admit that l love this beer.

On tap at Bellwoods. Pours a nearly clear golden/orange with a near white head. Aroma has lots of grapefruit, citrus, pine, and resin. Taste is slightly sweet to start then shifts to a strong bitter at the finish. Pine, resin, citrus, and grapefruit. Medium body and carbonation. Overall a tasty beverage. Starts sweet but ends bitter.

Two day old can from the brewery. Clear amber colour with white head., topp of the beer looks resiny. Smells potent, like pine resin, grape fruit. Taste is juicey, with loads of piney, resiny hop goodness. Caramel malt in the background. Balanced bitterness. Really drinkable too. Well done.

Foggy orange gold, minimal head. Really juicy hop flavours with grapefruit but initially not overly bitter. Pale fruit sweet from mild aroma. Late finish very bitter makes palate grassy green.

A good ipa but nothing original or special. For something that GLB called "the craziest, most expensive hopping we’ve done" I guess I was expecting more. Also at $4 per can this is not better then other local IPAs for 25% less.

Can from the brewery. Hazy peach-orange with a creamy white head. Initially smells like a big ol’ Christmas tree, before some citrus and mango notes start to come through. Flavour follows a similar pattern - big and aggressive hops that bring a ton of pine and spruce to start, followed by grapefruit, lychee, pineapple and mango as it warms. Malt is second banana here for sure, but adds enough biscuity sweetness to provide a vague semblance of balance. Mostly, though, it’s a hop bomb - and a very good one, if that’s what you’re after.

An excellent choice from the guest taps at HBH in Newmarket. Got the grapefruit but didn’t notice all the other individual qualities others mention. Tasted very nice.

A good IPA, on tap at bar Hop. Grapefruit colour, grapefruit aroma. Nicely balanced and very drinkable. Above average mouthfeel.
