Thanks to jerc for this. Pours a dark brown with a light brown top. Aroma is nutty, sweet and raisin. Taste is a bit boozy but it is a big beer. Hazelnut, sweet caramel and barley. Slight raisin, nice beer.

Cask at April Project X at brewery. Pours a dark, slightly reddish brown with a large off-white head. Sweet toffee, fruit and a hint of maple syrup in the aroma. Taste is big on the toffee and syrup with a mild fruitiness. Medium-full body. Interesting and enjoyable.

[2820-20100401] Cask. Harrowgate-like toffee malt aroma has an odd mushroom note. Murky, dark brown amber body with a quick bubbly head. Sweet floral toffee and mushroom flavour with a dry cocoa chocolate finish. Full body has a little kick. Surprisingly even more awesome when paired with Smart Food popcorn, seems smooth and tasty in general.

2010-04-01. Hazy dark brown body with a nice creamy tan head and lace. 3+ Sweet malty aroma has a very English toffee and caramel profile. 7+ Flavour is similar, rich toffee and caramel and toasty overtones. Hints at nuts but only slightly, modest bitterness keeps it from becoming cloying, but it is a very sweet overall impression. Sweet sugary note I can not quite define (treacle? brown sugar?) Modest alcohol undertones throughout are warming but never overbearing. 7+ Smooth medium bodied palate is very lightly carbonated. Solid, different. I would say its in the English tradition but with a bit more oomph in the flavour department than many English barleywines. Pretty solid! Cask at the brewery.
