2013-05-01 - on draught at Bar Hop. Hazy orange with a solid frothy off-white head. Lovely aroma - mild alcohol, orange zest, definitely rose petals, some light cardomom - fruity and sweet, but knocked down with the additions of the orange and rose (8-). Taste is also nice - biggish but restrained alcohol, fruity and floral like the aroma, light grain and spicy bitterness, oddly some pungent sage bitternes.. Average body, mild carbonation but airy nonetheless - a bit astringent, just finished so so well - not much aftertaste, very drinkable for 9%. I had a few more over the next couple of weeks as I recall, enjoyed all of them.

Late summer pour on patio at Rhino with teacher pals brings sense of bad juju as incoming school year beckons louder than a New Year’s Day hangover. And the beer was great.

Diolch Joe. Hazy golden pour with a thin white lace. Strong fruit, malt aroma with subtle hints of oranges and spice. Sweet flavour of oranges and fruit gums. Floral all together. Oily texture and sweet overall. Nice brew.

Gold/orange pour with a small head. Aroma is mostly fruit and yeast. Sme orange in the taste, yeast, fairly sweet, im still getting a bit of the rose petal but its fairly subtle. Medium body.

Pale golden pour - great clarity with a thin white head. The aroma is soft and spicy. A touch of honey and some soft spice as well. Juicy and fruity with a great lightly spicy finish. Minerally and a bit peppery along with some crackery malts. Juicy, yet dry with a touch of light honey/floral aromatics.

On Tap - hazed honey-gold with a small white cap. Sweet spicy fruity aroma. Big malt sweetness in front then there is a flood od spice-citrus notes, big fruity esters - relatively complex. Long boozy finish. Pretty decent rendition of a Belgian strong ale.

On tap at Bar Hop. Hazy golden pour with a one inch whipped egg white head that leaves a sheet of sticky lacing. Aroma is orange banana smoothy, a little yeast and grape kool aide and a sweet floral overtone. Beautiful velvet mouthfeel. Sweet and smooth, balanced with a slightly sour finish. Like blood orange juice itself. Refreshing. Delicious, buy if you’re not into sweet you won’t enjoy this as much. I love it.

On tap at the Loon. Very hazy golden, thin white rim. Quite sweet, yeasty, floral, a touch spicy light citrusy coriander, juicy orange. Medium body, gentle effervescence, smooth. Quite juicy and fruity, lots of citrus peel, yeast, a bit of booze, lightly spicy; lightly sweet with moderate bitterness and a fairly floral, citrus, boozy finish. Not too bad.

A viscous hazed amber ale with a very thin white head. In aroma, a sweet fruity malt with orange peels, bananas, cloves, grassy notes, alcohol warmth. In mouth, a classic belgian ale with sweet fruity malt with coriander, curacao, loads of alcohol, banana & bubble gum.
