Flowery aftertaste that I never noticed before.
Usual low head retention but overall not bad for Cleveland.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2003 re-rate 30 Aug 2003: The finish on this bottle was much better than the one I previously drank. It was far more malty. The beer was better balanced and I enjoyed it more.
up front hops w/ a slightly sour finish. a nice American Pale Ale, but nothing spectacular

The taste of this doesn’t quite live up to its wonderful citrus aroma. The flavor is more piney. Nice color, but almost no head.

Nice color, head diminished rather quick, aroma, hard to tell. I have a slight cold. Flavor was right on target. Nice malt and hop combo. Good citrus. I, like herbjones, must thank hopsrus for the trade. Props out to you! Thanks for opening my eyes to eastern beer.

Surprising amount of malt in the nose. Not alot just used to hop assault with IPA’s lately.Citrusy nose, light copper pour, tan head.Medium palate. This is a nice IPA. Not being one for the over the top hop monsters with no balance, this is very refreshing. Another outstanding beer from Great Lakes. Thanks hopsrus for the brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
One of the best pale ales out there. Beautiful fluffy off-white head. A zesty hop aroma that reminds me of spruce and spring forest undergrowth. A deep orange color. Hefty body from the malt but balanced towards the hops. Sort of a middle ground between a pale ale and IPA. Hits almost all of the tastebuds and tastes so good I want’a slap my mamma. Another great beer from our friends in Cleveland.

A rather hoppy APA that is delicious. Nice bubbly feeling on the back of the tongue at the start of the lingering finish due to the hops jumping out. Almost approaching an IPA, but not quite. Yet another fine Cleveland product, but must they remind us of that infamous incident?!

(re-rate) Dark golden to light copper. Decent head. Piney, citrusy hops jump out. Medium-thick body, palate offers some malty frutiness, nice hoppy kick that sticks. Malt needs to be more assertive in this one but by all means, a good APA.

Its 98 Degrees her again, damn HOT Summer and the Pale ale’s and IPA’s are in. Three Floyds Pale Ale is may favorite this Summer, but this is a damn nice beer too. Highly Hopped , maybe I ought to try their 12 mixed Pack, though something tells me that this is their best one. Great color, very refreshing and Highly Recommended !

Re-Rate 7/30/02 A very aggressively hopped pale ale that is very reminiscent of SNPA. One of my favorite pale’s.
