COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An assertively hopped American Pale Ale with citrusy and piney Cascade hops. Subtle malt flavors balance the hop profile and provide a satisfying dry finish.

red-amber colour, fine head and a nice lace, complex aroma: cinnamon, mango, ginger (?) and lemon; smooth, sweet with a touch of sourness, the finish is very long, bitter and fruity - a well-balanced, beautiful brew

Has a very good start, middle and finish. A very solid pale ale. A difinate repeat preformer.

Sampled on draft and in bottle several times. Very Cascade-ey, but has a malt backbone and bitterness to really stand out. One of Ohio’s best pale ales IMO.

Had it in Cincinnati. Nice malt start with a mild hop dry/ bitter finish. A really nice pale ale.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2005 The best APA I’ve yet to try. Better than 3 Floyds Alpha King, better than SNPA, better than Anchor Liberty -- and noticeably so. Given all that, what APA out there is supposed to be better than this? (I ask this without having tried the Stone Pale Ale, and seeing as Stone is right on my wavelength taste-wise....) Highly hoppy with citrusy appearance, nice foam layer, big taste and mouthfeel, slightly sweet finish. First-rate.

Bottle. A frothy head and a deep cooper-redish color. Fully hopped, dry, bitter, piney, almost course. A nice start but doesn’t finish the job for a pale ale.

This beer poured out a nice light copper color. Formed a nice off white head that left some nice lace. Quite a bubbly beer, with an aroma of hops and some citrus. Nice hoppy flavor that gives it a bit of bite in its finish.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2005 Rerate: Well, one hell of a lot of bottles of this latter, and the flavor is just great, some diacetyl mixing perfectly with the malt and hops. Yummy, but not as top of the heap as I thought years ago. Original: An excellent beer. I agree with the other raters that the citrus nose (grapefruit rind?)and slight citrus taste are wonderful. More drinkable, slightly less bold and thick than Bell’s Pale Ale
