An assertively hopped American Pale Ale with citrusy and piney Cascade hops. Subtle malt flavors balance the hop profile and provide a satisfying dry finish.

Pours a light orange/golden amber color that is a bit light and pale for my taste. The head starts fairly substantial, but reduces to a thin, white light. The aroma is pretty hoppy with all of the pine and citrus quite evident. There is also a nice malt character to the aroma, reminscent of bread and cookies. The flavor is exactly like the aroma, a nice malty start with a heavy hopped finish. The palate is also a bit thin, but I'm not sure it takes away too much overall. A nice, thirst-quenching pale ale.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2003 Great sparkling orange color. Small yellow/orange head. Citrus aroma. Acceptable amount of bitterness/hops. The preeminent example of its kind.

Draft: very little head, orange/amber color, clear. Aroma is slightly malty with a bit of sweetness. Flavor is a good balance between hops and malt for the better part, with a healthy bitterness making an appearance at the end. Overall a good brew.

Hazy orange color, filled with speckles of yeast. Citrusy hop aroma, fruity and plenty of sweet malt. Very bitter body but the hops are rounded off beautifully by a firm sweet maltiness. Finishes long and balanced. This is a clinic on what pale ales should be.

A nice powerful cascade aroma greets you with this beer. The flavor is an excellent balance of malt and hops with caramel and maybe some munich notes. Finishes nice and crisp. One of my favorite Ohio brews.

Not a bad beer... haven’t had a pale ale in awhile, so this was a nice change of pace. Citrusy, flowery aroma and flavor, nice hop presence, nice dry finish. Good stuff

Bright reddish-amber; big cascade nose; light pale maltiness, well-balanced citrus - wood, pale and amber malts. Very nicely balanced. Dry, pithy, citrusy finish.

Bottled. A lovely pour, full of of foam and fury, nice big stable head, very fruity/flowery on the nose, full and strong (orangey), great balance. Top-notch, worth the long wait.

A fairly good amount of hop bite here. Not over the top, though. A very good effort.
