4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 22, 2003 Well balanced, beautiful looking pale ale. Alarmingly high pine flavor usually seen only in IPAs. But the malt comes through in a big way. Tasty.

Had a session of drinking this beer and playing super monkey ball 2 on gamecube. Not the best we've had. It's okay.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2009 BB 22/march:Golden brown, liquid, with a soapy, frothy, head that leaves a nice ring for the remaider. Aroma is hoppy(piney, grassy)with plenty of malt in there too. Mouthfeel is very full for a pale, with perfectly done, soft carbonation. Fruity, slightly sweet malts, cereal, lead to dry, citric, toasted malt finish. The floral hoppiness in the finish is just delicious.Just like the rest of there beer, clean, tasty, and well done.I love Great Lakes.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2003 Great looking Ale. Slightly darker than honey in color, small head. Cascade comes through loud and clear in both the aroma and flavor, but their is enough malt to balance it out. I think that if your taste run from hoppy Pale Ale to Moderately hopped IPA, this will be a beer you should try.

Thanks to Dogbrick for this bottle. Very nice pale ale. Nice and hoppy with a killer flavor. Poured great with a good lace.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very fine pale ale. Rich copper color with a citrusy aroma and flavor. I would suggest Burning River Pale Ale is pretty typical of good beers in this style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light orange colour, light hop, citrus aroma. Sweet malts, and a solid bitter finish. Some lingering grapefruit. Incredibly drinkable, I could drink these all night.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Semi-sweet citrus hoppy and malt aroma. Pours a medium copper with adaquate resiny head. There is a very slight taste I detect toward the finish that the water used to brew this could have been on fire at one time. Apart from that this beer is smooth and well balanced. If this is what results, I wish the Cuyahoga would burn every day.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a light orange/golden amber color that is a bit light and pale for my taste. The head starts fairly substantial, but reduces to a thin, white light. The aroma is pretty hoppy with all of the pine and citrus quite evident. There is also a nice malt character to the aroma, reminscent of bread and cookies. The flavor is exactly like the aroma, a nice malty start with a heavy hopped finish. The palate is also a bit thin, but I'm not sure it takes away too much overall. A nice, thirst-quenching pale ale.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2003 Great sparkling orange color. Small yellow/orange head. Citrus aroma. Acceptable amount of bitterness/hops. The preeminent example of its kind.
