An assertively hopped American Pale Ale with citrusy and piney Cascade hops. Subtle malt flavors balance the hop profile and provide a satisfying dry finish.

The first time that I tried this pale ale was a few years ago (didn’t even know what a pale ale was). I had no idea what to expect. I tasted the bitterness and thought, ’What Is This?’ (I had expected something like the usual Miller/Bud/Michelob taste. Now, a few years later, I can fully appreciate this great blend of bitter hops, lemony citrus flavor, and slight malty taste. This stuff is good! And the head is great too! (some batches r better than others though)

An excellent pale ale. My favorite of this style, which most of the time i really dont care for. Hops are just about perfect for my liking.

This is a really good pale ale. It is one of the better ones i’ve had. Solid body and a strong taste, this ones a winner.

Wonderfully hopped pale ale with a nice touch of malt in the finish to create the perfect ending.

A great American pale Ale. slightly cloudy apearance(perhaps because it is unpasteurised). nice hoppy aroma. the first taste is very sharp floral hops, as you drink more it mellows but is still nice and bitter. some fruit-like aftertaste(perhaps green apples). One of the best regional breweries . enjoy

Caramel malt flavours balance wonderfully with the hops. Brilliant.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2011 This is definitely one of the better pale ales in the US, although I probably still slightly prefer Sierra Nevada to this one. I didn’t find the hops as powerful and the flavor is much different...more diverse malt profile, with both creamy caramel and a distinctive piney citrus profile that lingers with a subtle hop note.

A fantastic ale. World Champion in 1994 for good reason. Blows away Sierra Nevada. Too bad its not pastuerized - you have to be in Ohio to get it.

A good PA, but for $8.50? The finish is lackluster and the aroma isn’t too flowery. If you’re in Ohio, the Columbus Pale Ale is a much better choice - save a couple bucks and enjoy a better beer.

I liked it though its probably too hoppy for me. It’s not something I’d want to drink all night.
