Medium cloudy amber color. Citrus/hops not over done, fairly well balanced. Result is somewhat unique and enjoyable.

On tap: Beautiful amber color and a good head. Aroma was faint, but a bar isn’t exactly the best place to judge aroma. Hop bitterness balanced out with a lemon/grapefruit taste. Smooth and dry. Very enjoyable. Its a damn shame I can’t get these beers here.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2004 Pours a cloudy copper color, nice thick head of small white bubbles, not much lacing. Sweet pine grapefruit cascade, hoppy aroma. Medium body, soft and creamy mouthfeel, great hoppy citrus and caramel flavors, a great session beer, very easy to down a few, another great one from this brewery.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lightly hazy copper color with minimal head. Wonderfully citric and resiny hop aroma foreshadows the dry, resiny flavors to follow. Grapefruit, pine sap and mild caramel flavors are what this beer is about. Malt doesn’t balance out the hops, but that’s just fine by me. Finish is bitter and dry. Very nice pale ale, and thanks go to PsychProf for sending it my way.

Flowery aftertaste that I never noticed before.
Usual low head retention but overall not bad for Cleveland.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2003 re-rate 30 Aug 2003: The finish on this bottle was much better than the one I previously drank. It was far more malty. The beer was better balanced and I enjoyed it more.
up front hops w/ a slightly sour finish. a nice American Pale Ale, but nothing spectacular

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The taste of this doesn’t quite live up to its wonderful citrus aroma. The flavor is more piney. Nice color, but almost no head.

Nice color, head diminished rather quick, aroma, hard to tell. I have a slight cold. Flavor was right on target. Nice malt and hop combo. Good citrus. I, like herbjones, must thank hopsrus for the trade. Props out to you! Thanks for opening my eyes to eastern beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Surprising amount of malt in the nose. Not alot just used to hop assault with IPA’s lately.Citrusy nose, light copper pour, tan head.Medium palate. This is a nice IPA. Not being one for the over the top hop monsters with no balance, this is very refreshing. Another outstanding beer from Great Lakes. Thanks hopsrus for the brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
One of the best pale ales out there. Beautiful fluffy off-white head. A zesty hop aroma that reminds me of spruce and spring forest undergrowth. A deep orange color. Hefty body from the malt but balanced towards the hops. Sort of a middle ground between a pale ale and IPA. Hits almost all of the tastebuds and tastes so good I want’a slap my mamma. Another great beer from our friends in Cleveland.
