COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An assertively hopped American Pale Ale with citrusy and piney Cascade hops. Subtle malt flavors balance the hop profile and provide a satisfying dry finish.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2003 This is my new favorite pale ale. Bursting complex hop aroma. Citric hop flavor frames awesome toasty malt, which has a lot to it. A ton of orange, pear and apricot flavor. This is superb.

Maybe my tastes are altered from living on the west coast, but I would not describe this beer as being íassertively hoppedí. Pleasant hop aroma and flavor, with just enough malt to give balance. Just didnít have the pungent cascade hop aroma and flavor I expect from an APA. Donít get me wrong, though, itís definitely a good beer.

I like this beer. The finish is a lot like one of my favorites, WV Appalachian Ale.

This beer exhibits a nice, but restrained PNW hop aroma. The carbonation is very lively, perhaps, a tad bit too much. The palate is fairly balanced, but the finish is definitely hop accented. Overall, BRPA is very enjoyable and well built.

Medium cloudy amber color. Citrus/hops not over done, fairly well balanced. Result is somewhat unique and enjoyable.

On tap: Beautiful amber color and a good head. Aroma was faint, but a bar isnít exactly the best place to judge aroma. Hop bitterness balanced out with a lemon/grapefruit taste. Smooth and dry. Very enjoyable. Its a damn shame I canít get these beers here.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2004 Pours a cloudy copper color, nice thick head of small white bubbles, not much lacing. Sweet pine grapefruit cascade, hoppy aroma. Medium body, soft and creamy mouthfeel, great hoppy citrus and caramel flavors, a great session beer, very easy to down a few, another great one from this brewery.

Lightly hazy copper color with minimal head. Wonderfully citric and resiny hop aroma foreshadows the dry, resiny flavors to follow. Grapefruit, pine sap and mild caramel flavors are what this beer is about. Malt doesnít balance out the hops, but thatís just fine by me. Finish is bitter and dry. Very nice pale ale, and thanks go to PsychProf for sending it my way.

Flowery aftertaste that I never noticed before. Usual low head retention but overall not bad for Cleveland.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2003 re-rate 30 Aug 2003: The finish on this bottle was much better than the one I previously drank. It was far more malty. The beer was better balanced and I enjoyed it more. up front hops w/ a slightly sour finish. a nice American Pale Ale, but nothing spectacular
