polomagnifico (532), Saginaw, Michigan, USA Jun 15, 2008 12oz bottle. Aroma has notes of hay, barnyard, and caramel malts. Medium amber red hue with an smaller off-white head that mostly diminished and left little lace. Flavor is more of the same barnyard and caramel malt. Decent bitters on the finish. Palate is light-medium and soft. Average finish. Pretty shitty IPA and definitely over rated. Great Lakes should be ashamed by releasing such swill. 12many (231), Ohio, USA Jun 12, 2008 Slightly overrated in my opinion. A good beer though with a nice mix of citrus and piney hops and a mild bitter aftertaste. Nothing spectacular. Fits any average occasion, like lunch or dinner. biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jun 9, 2008 Poured a nice copper/amber color with generous white head that stayed a while. Aroma was of citrusy hops. Flavor was a blend of floral, citrusy, piney hops. Pleasant bitterness to it. Mouthfeel is smooth. Decent lacing on glass. I enjoyed. TheJester (694), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Jun 8, 2008 12 oz bottle. (bb 07/08/08). Copper-orange with just a film of head. Lots of cascade in the aroma, with some sweet (caramel) malt underneath. The taste is surprisingly restrained; the powerful aroma led me to believe that I’d be knocked over by the hops in the beer. (Dry-hopped?) Citrus and floral hops, thinnish sweet malt, and a lovely, lingering bitter finish. Nice beer. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 8, 2008 This beer pours a shiny orange body with a large head in the beginning that eventually diminishes. It has a really nice hop aroma, with pine notes and toffee. Creamy mouthfeel with grapefruit, earth and fresh hops on the palate. MagooinPA (99), Warminster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 8, 2008 12oz pour to a fluffy, pure white head that laces and is quite sticky. Nice nose of fresh hops. It has a whiff of Centennial but doesn’t over power the cascades. Nice and citrusy but the beer retains enough body to not make you wince. Well done, well balanced APA. Nice crystal clear burnt orange color too. I would love this for a APA session beer. Had to buy this in Ohio, not sold here in southeastern Pa. Damn shame because it would be a staple in my fridge. GG (1613), NorCal, California, USA Jun 8, 2008 I think this beer would be fantastic fresh or on draft, but I think the bottle I drank had some age on it. The aroma was citrusy, with a strong metallic note and a bready character that made it seem a bit older somehow (stale bread?). Amber in color, clear with a nice 2-finger thick head. Flavor has a decidedly bready flavor which pushes the hop flavors back quite a bit. The hops had a sneaky citrus/pine touch but it was just too light for my tastes. Honestly thought this was a pale ale. Theis (3617), Denmark Jun 3, 2008 Bottle - Thanks to Sune. Clear golden - white head. Sulfor, roasted, let knækbrød, hoppy aroma, light malty, citric, diacetyl, light metallic. Did it get light.... or what ??
