I prefer to cook with this vs drink it. It’s got a very bitter profile, which isn’t something I tend to gravitate to anyway, but more than that, it just sits on the back of your tongue and annoys your taste buds. As a beer to cook with, though, the hoppiness works in its favor and doesn’t overpower whatever meat you use it with.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very pale, very clear thick white lace. Mild hop smell. Rich mouth flavor, lasting palate. Ok, but too strong flavor without the nose.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap@Great Lakes brewpub, Cleveland, USA. Light slightly bitter aroma of berries. Copper color with minimal white head. Clear liquid. Medium/light taste with citrucy malts, some pine and hops. Bit artificial with medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with hops and sweeter malts. Medium/light palate and medium carbonation. Overall a bit artificial but drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at GABF 2015. In the tasting glass a hazy amber gold. Nose of light fruit with citrus. Medium body. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is caramel malts with a good dose of citrus hops and some peach or other stone fruit nuances. Lightly bitter finish. Very easy drinking. Kind of wish for a pint of this one.

Clear golden-amber with a light tan head. Lightly toasted grains, pine, orange citrus. Bitter, strong malt backbone. Medium body, fairly acidic, long finish. Cleaner. Good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a light amber with white head. Medium body. This is a toned down version of the chillwave. Light hop bitterness, peach, citrus, malt flavor. Really smooth and enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Foggy amber pour. Thinnish white head with almost no lacing. Nose is pine, caramel, citrus. Medium body. Resinous hop, nice caramel malt, and a little peach pokes through. Finish is slightly sweet. Tasty old school APA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour from bottle, clear amber with fairly robust head that bubbles away with ease. Nose is malt and bright floral hop. Classic Great Lakes taste, showcasing both the malt and hop profiles, not letting one override the other. Very crisp, floral, gentle grapefruit atop a lucious malt presence, yet still a very light and refreshing body. Certainly not a new-era hop bomb, but a tasteful balance and nice drinkability.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Not a shockingly original pale ale, but a pretty good one. Pours bright orange with a lot of carbonation and average head. The aroma is citrus and malt. The flavor is citrus and malt, too, with slightly herbal/grassy notes. The finish is a little too sweet, but not enough to ruin it.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap from source. Orangey gold with oatmeal head and decent lacing. Smells a little tropical to me, like ripe pine apple plus pine. A little grainy, bit then a nice light bitterness comes in.
