To the nose there was scents oflemon and orange citrus, hopps and bread dough. Tasted like it smelt with the strong hops but they were not overpowering. Citrus became evident in the finish with the palate being a little bitter. Very nice work! jackson220 (136), new lenox, Illinois, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 16, 2007 Had on tap this weekend, very balanced for an IPA which is awesome. Kind of like SN Pale on steroids, darker as well. Not sure how fresh the tap was, becasue the smell was only ok. Every craft brewery needs a good pale, and Great Lakes doesn’t let me down. krysztofar (344), belleville, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 14, 2007 from olde towne liq. louisville ky. a clean golden copper color with a peachy white head. crisp malty flavor with some fuity apricot and caramel sweetness. fantastic hop bitterness kicks this off. followed by fine english malt flavor. palate is substantial without getting to sticky. great example of an american pale ale. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2007 Clear light orange colored pour. looks kind of thin, but holds a huge white head. Smell opf the hops are nice, but a bit mild for an IPA, I thought, and there was a slight mustiness about it too. Taste was mildly hopped initially too, but picked up a bit after a few sips. Light sweetness, and light bodied as well. Hops come through for a nice flavor and strength, but this still feels too thin and a bit lacking somehow. Good, but not great, I thought. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
