Pours a deep golden with a nice off white head and nice lacing. Aromas are very bright, full of pine, grapefruit, and other citrusy hints. Flavor is very intense, full of hops (especially) and a nice toned-down malt backround. The bitterness starts midway through and finishes well after the sip. Very nice taste, full of Cascades. I have to rerate this one...it didn’t perform as well as I originally had in my mind. I had a few of these after I had a few FFF selections. The flavors of this didn’t stand up to what I percieved. It wasn’t as well rounded, wasn’t the most complex, and had a controlled hop flavor (straightforward)...but still good...just not as good. My last rating was 4.1....this one is 3.8

Exactly what you hope for in an IPA. Plenty of tartness from the hops with grapefruit and pine. A hint of malt. Not being a hophead, I like the fact that the hops do not overpower in this one and it is even somewhat on the sweet side.

12 oz bottle: A rather subdued malt scent with some define but not huge hop characteristics. A light caramel scent, grapefruit, and pine. Appearance is a golden/ copper color with a medium head that diminishes into a soapy white film. Taste is a nice hop characteristic, pine, and citrus. The caramel in the scent is very light in the taste, which was more prominent in the scent. Aftertaste is citrus, acidic, and somewhat dry. Overall, A nice IPA. Another quality brew from our good friends in Cleveland

Bottled. A hazy orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light hoppy and straw notes, the flavor is sweet malty with light metallic notes, leading to a slightly bitter and dry end.

Great all around beer. Great balance of just about everything. Great medium-full body, rich mouthfeel. Good amount of hops. Not over the top, but enough that you aren’t disappointed (it is an IPA after all). Very drinkable, enjoyable beer.
