| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2007 Pours a clear copper color with a nice one finger head that sticks around for a few minutes and leaves some lacing behind. Aroma is excellent citrus hops and really jumps out at you. Taste is citrus hops with some resiny pine. Surprisingly bitter for an APA, has more characteristics of an IPA. A little too bitter for me especially for an APA. Good beer, but not great. kimcgolf (828), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 30, 2007 Pours to a dark gold color with medium off-white head that lingers well and leaves good lacing. Nice, hoppy aroma and flavor. Mouthfeel was tingly and bitter, with the bitterness carrying over perfectly into the nice, long finish. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2007 Pretty standard pale ale, better than average but not great. Citrus aromas were somewhat flat compared to other pale ales. Well balanced but a slightly bitter finish kind of killed the experience for me. apingos (77), Rockford, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 24, 2007 sample at the Cicago Green Fest. They brought 4 of their beers just hitting the Chicago market. This beer had a nice hops flavor and citrus. I dont think I would go out of my way to buy this one
Their best beer that Ive had was their golden German lager (dornuster?) just an excellent brew. jerohen (1611), Bussum, Netherlands
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 17, 2007 Updated: Apr 22, 2007Gold orange coloured, small head. Hoppy aroma (cascade) and some fruit, apple perhaps. Hop-bitterness dominates in flavour, but there’s not a lot more going on here. Bitter finish, which lasts forever. Not overly complex, but still pretty nice. Thanks to my girlfriend for bringing it from the States (this is the only good thing about her being away all the time :-). mike mcneil (660), St Augustine, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2007 Leaves the bottle a slightly cloudy gold-orange color creating a fluffy, light 1 inch thick white head. Decent foam retention throughout the glass with an intricate lacing along the sides. Aroma profile leans toward the hops here with crisp citrusy, spicy and floral notes. A wiff of malt and caramel can be detected in the background. Mouthfeel is fairly light and refreshing, with a slightly dry and metallic-like finsih. Flavors are extremely well balanced starting out with a moderate light caramel and malt sweetness, followed by a firm citrusy/bittersweet orange and spicy hop presence. Finishes fairly bitter and dry. Not a super-star here but certainly an above average APA. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 9, 2007 Bottle from Puddintane. Clear, bright copper pour with a billowy ivory head. Fruity malt aroma with a good bit of floral hoppiness. Dry and dusty malt feel. Somewhat vegetal with the classic "sucking on pennies” metallic note I so often get from Cascades. Dry, bitter finish.
