Bottle sampled from Capone’s. Pours light amber with a decent size off-white head. Aroma of piney hops, citrus, and bread. The flavor is slightly sweet upfront, citrus, caramel malt, and finishes with a fair amount of bitter hoppiness. Good brew.

Bottle: Can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. Pours a clear copper color with an off white head. Aroma, citrus, herbal and earthy notes, some caramel in the background. Flavor, juicy citrus, some pine, caramel, a medium bitterness. I love this stuff.

Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale 12 oz bottle Best by 03/07, extinguished 02/07 Medium pour in a tulip glass Poured a clear amber with a small white quickly diminishing head with a small ring of lacing. Smelt of moderate orange, lemon and spruce. Taste was upfront moderate sweet lemon and cookie with a moderate bitter lemon rinds and spruce followed by a strong bitter mold, sweat and pine with a moderately sweet biscuit malt on a long finish Palate was light to medium bodied, oily, lively and moderately astringent. Overall, a classic tasting pale ale with little to no flaws.

Clear copper with good, creamy off-white head / Toasted sugar and hop nose / Light to medium body with sharp fresh hops and sugary body / Flavors of burnt sugar, sesame, lemon, and orange / The lighter, less fruity style.

On Draught at Pizza Plant, Buffalo - came clear light gold, with a medium, foamy, white head. Aroma is hoppy and fruity, with notes of lemony citrus and strawberries(!). Flavour is smooth and easy drinking, well balanced, with a citrusy hop profile. Sweet malts balance that out nicely, making this an excellent summer beer. Very quenching and highly drinkable ale.

Bottle thanks to DrBayern. Pours an amber hue with a nice head on top. Aroma is full of citrusy hops and sweet maltiness. Flavor is very much like the aroma, a smooth mixture between the two. The sweet caramel malts come in afterwards to balance out the citrus and pine hops. A very good APA.

I had very little head on this amber-shaded brew. Pretty weak for an IPA, but enjoyable nonetheless. Seemed to go stale a bit too quickly, however.
