Oycpff (93), USA Jun 18, 2006 Bottle - Copper. Mildly aromatic, citrusy and fruity, with notes of orange, lemon peel and pepper. Defined malt backbone of butter and caramel. The hops are dominant, slightly medicinal, spicy and have notes of orange, tangerine, juniper, peppers and wood. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Jun 14, 2006 via trade with OhioDad - Pours a clear orangish-amber color with a faint head. Light carbonation. Light citrus hop aroma. The hops are more noticeable in the flavor. Light to medium body. A nice easy drinking PA. Thanks Scott. rbellas (4), USA does not count Jun 10, 2006 Had this from a bottle. This beer is an interesting blend of citrisy and piney flavors with a strong hoppy finish. zebracakes (1214), Washington DC, USA Jun 5, 2006 Bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with thin white head. Citrus/floral aroma with more emphasis on the citrus. Nice hoppy kick at first but the flavor dies off too quickly. bgburdman9 (822), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 28, 2006 Had this at a Cinci Reds game. My first rating that was not done at my house or at a bar. I heard someone mention they didnt like this but I thought it was a great pale ale. Not as bold as Alpha King but i think it is more drinkable. I could down a sixer of this no problem. Seem like a great balance of malt, bitterness, and hoppiness. I think this is one ill keep in the fridge. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA May 23, 2006 Darkish gold. Very nice malt and hop aroma with fruit. Well-balanced APA. Fruity, cramel, medium hopping which leans a tad twoards the heavy side. Good mouthfeel. Grapefruit finish. Light diacetyl. azmtnbiker (20), Phoenix, Arizona, USA May 23, 2006 Had this one on tap at the brewery and in the bottle. Great citrusy hop aroma and it pours a cooper color with off white head. Nice bitter bite then goes to a smooth malt flavor with some great hop flavor at the end. Great session beer. Wish I could get this in AZ blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 19, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear bubbly amber-gold with an average size lasting fluffy off-white head. Mild aroma of fruit and hops along with some roasted malt and yeast. Flavour starts malty and finishes with a big spicy bitterness. The fiinish is a little harsh and there’s a slightly odd alcoholic aftertaste -- for a 6% beer you can taste the alcohol quite a bit. Medium bodied. It’s good enough but I wouldn’t get it very often, it’s just not my thing.
