WhiteSoxFan (152), USA Apr 26, 2006 Bottle and on draft at Great American Ball Park. Pours very clear, nice orangish copper, thin off-white head, dissipates to a layer of foam that sticks around and has average lacing. Aroma is not strong, but good; fruity, citrusy, tiny bit florally. Flavor is very nicely balanced, probably slightly to the bitter side, but perfect for an APA. Good amount of bitterness with a solid, but not overdone malt backbone and some hop complexity - a little bit of a florally, citrusy finish. Mouthfeel is medium, very smooth, and carbonation is right. This is a really solid APA, just very well balanced and not overdone in any area, which is how I like them. SoLan (1369), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 23, 2006 Amber/gold with a small, frothy, off white head. Aroma and flavor of resiny citrus hops and toasty malt undertones. Pine in there as well. Medium, balanced palate. Excellent, easy drinking pale. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Apr 14, 2006 A little darker pour than the gold one. Hoppy smelling, and malty. Taste is also grassy, sweet, and hoppy. Not bad actually, rather drinkable. I liked it. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Apr 7, 2006 In the bottle. Pours a reddish dark gold with an ivory head. Aroma is nice: citrus and fruity from the solid finishing hop content. Flavor is initially like tea, but subsides into a more traditional hop bitterness. Fine malt body producing a level of sweetness that engulfs the bitterness. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Apr 6, 2006 this one didn’t leave much of an impression with me one way or the other, a pretty typical midwestern beer, and again i’m not the biggest fan of pale ales zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Mar 29, 2006 (bottle - 12 oz) Hazy orange color with a thick and lasting tan head. Aroma is rather citrusy and slightly hoppy with hints of pine. Maybe some caramel too. A nice hoppy flavor at the front balanced with a smooth, piney and malty sweetness and a bitter and hoppy finish. Aftertaste is bitter and hoppy. Medium-bodied and very drinkable. Thanks Dan. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA Mar 24, 2006 Pours amber with a two-finger off-white head. Excellent citrusy and piney hop aroma, with honey and sweet bread undertones. Interesting flavor. Well-balanced and deliciously hoppy, but there are some strange tastes of bubble gum and some slightly medicinal notes. Dry, bitter finish, with a metallic tinge. stoutchap (297), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 22, 2006 On tap at Charlie’s Ale House. Another winner tonight. Rare when picking blindly at the restaurant. Anyways - an amber pour with a foamy off-white head, some lacing. Pine in the nose, and start. A nice nutty finish that complimented the bitterness of the hops. Solid palate too.
