TerryR (383), Oswego, Illinois, USA Oct 11, 2005 Light amber color with a nice white head that slowly fades away. Aroma of citrus and pine hops with just a hint of malt. Flavor is lots of hops with the malt being more noticeable but still dominated by the hops. Long finish.Very nice lacing. A very good pale ale, but I can remember trying this on tap at a beer festival about ten years ago and being blown away by it. Ron (1002), Rochester, New York, USA Oct 10, 2005 I brought this back from Morgantown WV after visiting my daughter in WVU. Slight hops aroma. Flavor of citrus and mild hops. Enjoyable DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Oct 8, 2005 Pours a deep amber. Slightly malty nose with hop aroma coming through. Not to heavy, with a rich malt flavor leading to a hoppy finish. Another good one from Great Lakes. jzzbassman (838), New Albany, Mississippi, USA Oct 7, 2005 Finally an APA that doesn’t try to be an IPA!! Sweet malt aroma of fresh bread and citrus hop. Flavor is perfectly balanced with a perfect mouthfeel for the style, very appetizing. Thanks to OhioDad for the trade!! SG (456), San Clemente, California, USA Oct 6, 2005 Much maltier and sweeter than the west coast pales I’m used to drinking. Out of the bottle in a bar in Cleveland (Beachland Ballroom). Easy to drink with a moderate to thin body. The alcohol is hidden very well. I would not call the finish dry at all. A very clean beer. Citrusy hop flavors in there. Nice. jb (1024), Rochester, New York, USA Oct 6, 2005 Ron brought a couple of these over tonight. This is a real nice brewer. Dark orange color, aroma of caramel, malt and hops. A little malt in the palate and very dry hoppy finish. Very enjoyable. hopnpop (68), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 5, 2005 What a terrific pale ale! The golden color is a tad on the dark side. Citrusy nose primarily consisting of lemon. Initial taste is pine & sweet malt. Great chewy mouthfeel with sensational balance. Hops linger as the taste slowly fades. RCL (1444), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Oct 5, 2005 Not bad, but certainly not my favorite pale ale. Seems excessively piney, like drinking a Christmas tree.
