Toasted malt and hoppy nose, pale amber color and a sticky head. Warm round sweet honeyish malt with some toast. Metallic in the middle. Gritty bitter, almost grassy. Medium body. OK all around but a little unsophisticated.

Dark in colour to a normal APA, quick fading head. Malty taste but definately hoppy. A good overall APA!

12oz bottle, courtesy of StFun. Thanks, Joshua! Pours a bright, clear orange-amber color; off-white head with gorgeous, tight fine-bubbled lacing. Juicy, earthy and citrus hop aroma; pleasant, slight dry malt core. Medium mouthfeel: zesty, spicy and citrus hop-forwardness: somewhat resiny, juicy and soft; very pleasant palate; slight bit of candy sugar and bready malts coming through; very tasty, drinkable stuff. Definitely tasted more like a Pale Ale to me than an IPA. Finishes dry: biscuity hop bitterness, breadiness, and crackers.

Pours amber with a medium white inch tall head. Aroma is pine and citrus. Flavor is the same but backed up decently with malts. The palate is very creamy for an American Pale Ale with a nice bitter finish from those hops. Pretty tasty and refreshing on a nice warm 90 degree day. Overall a good pale ale! I’ll drink it again!

Bottle from the First Houston Tasting
Pours a lively gold with an aroma of faint pancake syrup. Flavor is hops lite, with a sublte hint of grapefruit, pine, and orange. Average mouthfeel. Great APA, emphasis on the first A in APA.

Amber Coloring. Hops...citrus. Pretty dry at the ending. Not a bad beer but was expecting more from it.

Tap at a little burrito shop in Davis, WV called Hellbender. Amber color, white head. A very welcoming hopped aroma with hints of grapefruit. Flavor is a nice soft caramel malt. All followed by a sharp bitterness. A bit too sharp for me to really enjoy this beer. I got it down, just a bit too off balance for my palate that particular day. 25 oct 09

12 ounce bottle courtesy of dankman. Thanks! Pours a clear copper color with a medium-large head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is strong citrus hops with some bready malts. Taste is hops... citrus, leafy and minty, with toasted malts. Medium bodied, well balanced.
