| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 24, 2006 12oz Bottle Pours out a nice crisp gold topped with a small white head. There was a little citrus to this one. I like it. GG (1689), NorCal, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2008 I think this beer would be fantastic fresh or on draft, but I think the bottle I drank had some age on it. The aroma was citrusy, with a strong metallic note and a bready character that made it seem a bit older somehow (stale bread?). Amber in color, clear with a nice 2-finger thick head. Flavor has a decidedly bready flavor which pushes the hop flavors back quite a bit. The hops had a sneaky citrus/pine touch but it was just too light for my tastes. Honestly thought this was a pale ale. douglas88 (1686), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 21, 2009 12 ounce bottle from Barley and Hops. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A sweet bready aroma, caramel and light hops. A nice flavor; easygoing, bready sweet caramel malts, light hops, refreshing. Enjoyable. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 12, 2006 Updated: Aug 20, 2007Good APA, but drinking out of a plastic cup at Indians/Cubs game (Jacobs Field) not ideal. Also was hard to find elsewhere in Ohio when I tried to pick some up for the return trip to PA. Looking forward to sampling again. Re-rate 8/20/07 - its been awhile since I had this one - pleasant malty/citrus hop aroma with a nice hop flavor, tingly finish, and an just an overall refreshing APA. A huge thanks to Matt Capone for making all those treks to Western PA for this beer. NachlamSie (1657), Tennessee, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 5, 2006 bottle. Pours a solid copper, nice shade for the style, white a fair white head. Good hop profile in the nose with a bit of toffee to balance. I think the APA style is dangerous to make constant explorations in, but every now and then I find some stellar beers in the category. This one is not quite to that level, but it does go beyond just being a refreshment. It achieves very nice balance all around with a bright, fairly well defined hoppiness and a honey/sweet tea character. This is a very good representation of the style. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Light amber in color with little white head. Aroma has decent hop bite up front, with some malt backing. Flavor much the same with a long lingering hop aftertaste. One of the few pale ale’s I could drink if need be. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Bottle courtesy of fiver29. Pours a crystal clear dark golden color with a two finger head that disappeared quickly. Nose is pretty mild. Malt with some pine and citrus. Palate is mild also with some malt and a slightly bitter resin aftertaste. Best by date is 5/25/08, so maybe some of the hop bite has left. An ok brew that I’m grateful for the chance to try – thanks John!
