Beautiful copper color with bubbly white head. Aroma is faint hops. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin, but expected. Taste is crisp mild hoppiness with a touch of malt on the follow through. Slight hoppy bitterness that lingers a bit on the aftertaste. Overall a very refreshing Pale.

Tasted from a 12oz brown bottle into a nucleated pint glass, thanks Tom! It poured a clear golden amber colour, fluffy and long-lasting white foam with lace. Nice malt sweetness, slightly bready and biscuity, faint caramel notes, with even slighter fruity ale esters which formed a strong backbone for the Northern Brewer and Cascade hops. Predictably resiny and grapefruity, but very well-balanced. I was told this was a classic hops-forward Cascade American Pale Ale, and that’s exactly right. Good stuff, goes great with pizza.

12 ounce bottle. Copper colored with a small bubbly beige head. Pleasant toasted malt aroma with a fragrant citrus hop bouquet. Bittersweet caramel malt flavor is balanced nicely by the citrusy hops into mid taste. Finish is spicy hops with a long dryness. Very tasty.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ericular (256) - Minnesota, USA - MAY 16, 2013
Pours clear amber with medium head that fades and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is floral hops, a little grassy, a little bready cookie dough, a touch of sour yeast. Taste is sour honey, into resiny hops with a dry finish that’s a little too astringent. I’m feeling under the weather, and this bottle was 2 weeks past best-by date... so this deserves a second chance sometime.
