COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An assertively hopped American Pale Ale with citrusy and piney Cascade hops. Subtle malt flavors balance the hop profile and provide a satisfying dry finish.

On draft: Dark amber with an average head. Aroma was citrus hoppiness. Flavor was moderately malty but mostly dominated by the citrusiness of the hops, mostly grapefruit and a little pine. This has the hop bite of an IPA without the heaviness. Nice.

Bottle from 5K backlog. Pours semi clear orange amber gold. Off white head. Nose and taste of malt, dried citrus, dirty fruit and light resin. Finishes dry. Medium bodied.

12 ounce bottle. Copper colored with a small bubbly beige head. Pleasant toasted malt aroma with a fragrant citrus hop bouquet. Bittersweet caramel malt flavor is balanced nicely by the citrusy hops into mid taste. Finish is spicy hops with a long dryness. Very tasty.

Pours clear amber with medium head that fades and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is floral hops, a little grassy, a little bready cookie dough, a touch of sour yeast. Taste is sour honey, into resiny hops with a dry finish that’s a little too astringent. I’m feeling under the weather, and this bottle was 2 weeks past best-by date... so this deserves a second chance sometime.

On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings in Oregon, OH. Clear, dark red-amber copper with an off-white head and excellent lacing. Aroma of bread, caramel, sweet light fruit, herbal hops and grapefruit. Taste of floral hops, yeast, multigrain bread, caramel and citrus. Hops and malt are fairly well balanced. Medium body and medium/high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours light with lots of hop on the nose. Combination of spruce and citrus. The taste is filled with bitter hops balanced with malty sweetness but finishes dry and crisp. Overall a great beer

12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass. The appearance is a clear golden-orange color with a moderate off-white head which dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing. The aroma is fantastic assortment of pine and citrus scents with a hint of malt and caramel. The taste is heavier on the malt than the aroma was. It has good balance between malt and hops, though not has hoppy as I would prefer. Nice smooth feel which is richer than I expected. Overall, this is pretty good, though I’d hardly set it as the benchmark for American pale ales.

I always remembered this being "hoppier". Or maybe the bottle I had was getting old. Still pours great golden colour with frothed white head, doesn’t lace the glass well. Aroma is slightly skunky and tastes mild with some caramel taste.

Smell is citrusy and piney with a strong malt nose as well. Tastes pretty bitter, pretty balanced though, overall very tasty. Solid Pale Ale.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy copper body with a one finger frothy off-white head that left a bit of lacing. The nose is light to moderate citrusy hops over a slightly sweet caramel malt base. Smells like there may be a little crystal malt going on in here, and that’s a problem for me. The first taste doesn’t seem to indicate much crystal malt though, it’s more grainy, dry, and dusty in it’s malt character instead of having a lot of crystal malt sweetness. The hops are just lightly bitter, and not especially bright or lively. Light to medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and a fairly short dry and husky finish. Not the best APA, I wish the malt were a little more clean and in the background and the hops were brighter.
