Sample from a tap. Pours a deep brown in color with a tan ring. Some hints of spice in the aroma. Body is a little thin. Flavor is mostly spices which were a little harsh. Not really what I expected from a Christmas ale nor from Great Lakes. Didn’t really enjoy this one.

Very good, a lot of spice and honey. Good mouthful, ginger finish. Overall very pleasing.

Sampled at GABF. In the tasting glass amber with an off-white head. Nosd what I would call ginger. Medium body. Flavor is spicy with ginger and cinnamon. Classic Christmas beer and quite tasty.

Pours a dark amber with white head. Medium body. Tons of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, honey, and malts. Best christmas ale that I look forward to every year.

This is the best Christmas ale ever. The 7.5 abv will sneak up on you. The spice notes are superior.

Old rating. Bottle from Old Town. Golden orange color with a medium-sized head. Aromas of cinnamon, ginger and pine cones all present on the nose. Fairly well balanced if not malt forward. Medium body with average carbonation. Nice peppery and spiced finish.

Spice ales are not normally my beer of choice but this was a gift to taste. Well crafted and the hint of cinnamon is really complement to the hopes and malts used. Very sweet after taste this beer would go well with a desert

Malty, slightly syrupy, touch of hop brightness, finishes with Christmas spice...allspice.

Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of caramel, yeast, spice and light fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, spice and light fruitiness with a smooth dry lingering spiced finish.
