It has a cinnamon and ginger spice flavor, a rich copper color, and a medium body that will fit with any holiday meal.

2013 bottle to a tulip glass. Pours a crystal clear brown-copper with a little off-white head. Aroma is cinnamon and some grain but both are very light. Taste is a little sweetness and cinnamon with a slight bitterness. The honey is apparent in the end. A light medium mouthfeel with a dry ending ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lighter for a winter warmer. Quite pleasant. Subtle spices on the nose, more upfront on the tongue. A nice abv which allows it to be semi sessionable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a beautiful reddish orange. Small white head. Aroma is malty, fruity with noticeable but not cloying spices. Flavor is sweet, lots of spices. Body is lighter side of medium. Finish is modestly dry and bitter, spiced. Pretty drinkable holiday spiced beer.

Bottle from Arvin @Christmas. Caramel malt, honey, cloves. Lager yeast-type astringency. Stronger than a typical Christmas ale.

Bottle marked 03/19/14. Nose sweet and rich caramel and earthy brown malt with some mild coffee/roast. Honey and ginger, and an herbal quality that reminds me of the unwelcome aspects of Eastern Red Cedar and its oriental counterparts. Pours a pretty gradient amber with a short, soapy beige head. Taste is caramel and faint roast, spicing much stronger here (and frankly off-putting), muddled ginger, lighter cinnamon, and clover honey/herbal notes. Base malt/caramel isn’t developed enough to carry the load. Medium body, maybe a bit fuller, lightly sweet with basically no bitterness or alcohol showing.

Favorite Christmas(Holiday) ale. It still is the best if looking in the "spiced" variety, but it doesn't excite me like it used to. It's the Sierra Nevada Pale of Christmas beers. Others have copied it and that has taken away from its overall appeal(right or wrong). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ohhh Christmas Beer ,Oh Christmas beer...... Drinking this while making a cheesecake for Christmas dinner. Smells malty and faintly gingery. Taste is predominantly cinnamon, honey and bready malts. Not sure if I’d drink it any other time but as far as Christmas beers go its top notch.

Pours clear copper with a fast disappearing off-white head. Moderate lacing. Aroma is honey, cinnamon, apples. Taste is bready malt funk and honey, cider and winter spices like cinnamon and ginger. Some bitter hops at the finish. Quite astringent. A cold toddy. Definitely seasonal, but not so much my cup of tea. Merry Christmas! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
