It has a cinnamon and ginger spice flavor, a rich copper color, and a medium body that will fit with any holiday meal.

12 oz. bottle. Poured into a snifter. Decent foamy head, but it doesn’t last. Aroma is like an amber ale infused with honey. Some notes of the ginger in there too. Taste is definitely honey up front, with the more subtle spices coming through on the back end. Appropriately carbonated with a very nice, warm finish. I feel like the ginger has been toned down this year, but production is up, so who am I to complain?

Honey, cinnamon, golden grahams cereal aroma. Clear copper, thin head. Strong honey and kibble flavor, slight cardboard, even more subtle cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. Medium body, harsh mouthfeel. No more spicing than you would want. Nice underlying base beer and not some random garbage.

Pours hazy copper color with white head. Aroma is candied fruit, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Really nice stone fruit start with candied sugar and very light cinnamon and ginger flavor. This beer is how I imagine sugar plums would taste.

This is a really great Christmas ale. Beautiful copper color. Nicely spiced. Smooth at 7.5% alcohol. One of my favorite Christmas Ales! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft poured pint. I didn’t get much of an aroma but the spices and there wasn’t a head on it at all. The tasted was just spice, which I did not really care for. Was a little let down with this one...

on draft poured a medium to dark amber/copper color with minimal head. some lacing on the glass. the aroma was medium malt base with spices, cinnamon and ginger predominant. the flavor was of sweet malt base with a nice mix of spices. there is a mild bitterness from hops but the spices are warming. do drink this on the warm side so you get the full amount of the cinnamon and ginger. very good on the palate. overall solid offering from great lakes.

12oz bottle of boring beer from Wine Academy. Poured a deep amber body with a spotty frothy off white head. Aroma is weak, spices barely come through, medium toast, bread crusts. Watery body, strong carbonation make for a not so great palate. Flavor has a little more spice on the backside, dry grains and toast. MEH.

Pretty good beer. Copper color with aromas of sweet malt, ginger, and other spices. Taste was sweet, but not too sweet, and the spice really came through and there was a nice bit of malt. Mouthfeel was thick and slick. Very enjoyable.
