It has a cinnamon and ginger spice flavor, a rich copper color, and a medium body that will fit with any holiday meal.

The best Christmas or Holiday Ale I have had. The description above explains it very well, the beer actually lives up to it. The only flavor it leaves out is the honey. It is not overwhelming, it just adds a little sweetness to make the beer not bitter.

This is the best Christmas ale on the market, it is robust yet easy to drink. The notes of cinnamon are not overpowering.

Bottle: Pours clear, bubbling, berry-copper with a frothy vanilla coloured head. Ginger aroma, clove and caramel. Taste is ginger, caramel malt, cinnamon. Peppery spicing....raw vanilla bitter. Light and cool for the ABV. A very nice Christmas Special.

Definitely getting the cinnamon and ginger. A nice holiday beer with a seasionable body and flavor. Pours a rich ruby red color. Cinnamon an clove aromas are big. Comes through to the flavor in pretty much the same ratio. Nice drink.

This score is assuming I am in the mood for a holiday spiced beer, which is not frequently the case. It’s maybe slightly too spiced overall, but not much. Smoother when warm. Primarily cinnamon and honey. Not my favorite holiday flavor profile, but not terrible.

2013 bottle to a tulip glass. Pours a crystal clear brown-copper with a little off-white head. Aroma is cinnamon and some grain but both are very light. Taste is a little sweetness and cinnamon with a slight bitterness. The honey is apparent in the end. A light medium mouthfeel with a dry ending ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lighter for a winter warmer. Quite pleasant. Subtle spices on the nose, more upfront on the tongue. A nice abv which allows it to be semi sessionable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a beautiful reddish orange. Small white head. Aroma is malty, fruity with noticeable but not cloying spices. Flavor is sweet, lots of spices. Body is lighter side of medium. Finish is modestly dry and bitter, spiced. Pretty drinkable holiday spiced beer.

Bottle from Arvin @Christmas. Caramel malt, honey, cloves. Lager yeast-type astringency. Stronger than a typical Christmas ale.

Bottle marked 03/19/14. Nose sweet and rich caramel and earthy brown malt with some mild coffee/roast. Honey and ginger, and an herbal quality that reminds me of the unwelcome aspects of Eastern Red Cedar and its oriental counterparts. Pours a pretty gradient amber with a short, soapy beige head. Taste is caramel and faint roast, spicing much stronger here (and frankly off-putting), muddled ginger, lighter cinnamon, and clover honey/herbal notes. Base malt/caramel isn’t developed enough to carry the load. Medium body, maybe a bit fuller, lightly sweet with basically no bitterness or alcohol showing.
