3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
THOUGHTS: Definitely Christmasy. Nice, but I donít know what all the fuss is about. Itís a fairly stanadard Christmas ale. Slightly cloying at first on each sip but then it dried out pretty quickly. OK so as it warmed a little more I realized it has great balance for a Christmasy tasting beer. A little heavy on the spices but the honey gave it enough body to stand up to the spices.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear but flat, light to medium copper with a small, white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had moderate caramel; honey brown sugar; ginger; cinnamon; Christmas cookies and cakes; and just plain old Christmas. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and slightly acidic; while the finish was heavily sweet and lightly acidic and bitter. There was honey, cinnamon, ginger, caramel and Christmas. The light to medium body was fairly dry with rather fizzy carbonation and a dry finish.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear, light copper, brief white head. Light toasty aroma. Taste is lightly sweet, slightly spicey - ginger; a hint of peppery hops in the finish. Palate is light, but lingering. Overall, a light, easily drinkable holiday ale. Better crafted then some similar offerings.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear copper pour, small off white head. Lots of baking spices, syrup soaked bread, and some apples. Good mouth feel, good carb. Finish is big on the baking spices again, lots of cinnamon, ginge and cloves. A bit of a spice bomb at the end.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home on "The Worst Christmas Ever". Golden amber pour, frothy white head. Pretty looking beer. Holiday spices on the nose and palate. Mostly cinnamon. Dry....not as malty as some of these seasonals....which is nice.

This is a Great Lakes marketing genius. How they convinced an entire city that this is great and a must have at 13 a six is beyond me. There are thousands of beer I would drink before this
