3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Crizay. Pours a clear pale brown with a medium lightly tanned beige head. Honey and candied ginger on the nose, with a background of malt, and a touch of chocolate. Medium body, slightly medicinal. Light bitter finish with even more of that medicinal quality.

Burnt orange. Nose is cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves
Taste is more of the same. Itís just like any other christmas ale but I like the spice combo.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours deep amber with a small, off-white head. Aroma of spices, some caramel and toffee malts, a little dough, and a light bitterness. Flavor the same with a decent blend of the spices and sweet malts. Average texture. Not bad for a spiced, winter ale.

Happy holidays to all - time to celebrate with a few new holiday brews.
Clear copper color with a white head. Aroma includes honey, ginger, a little cinnamon, and a bit of alcohol. Sweet, honey malt flavor with ginger and faint cinnamon. Finishes spicy and just a bit bitter. Palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear light brown with medium head. Light, fairly non-description aroma with some sweet notes. The flavor has a lot of honey and grain notes, and a hint of spice (ginger, nutmeg). Subdued and pleasant, a nice holiday beer.

Glass served at Birch and Barley in Washington. Really great cinnamon type aroma, great taste. I understand the annual hype.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft @ the source. The brewers description is damn spot on. Nose is cinnamon, clove and hints of pine needles. Flavor runs the same with medium body and a herb, spice finish. It really does remind me of Christmas type flavors, ginger is real mild and is a compliment to the other spices in the brew. Good brew.

Has a really nicr aroma but is a little heavy on the cinnamon and clove spice. Drinkable but nothing special.

The aroma is mild but full of spices. The taste is full of different spices. Itís actually quite refreshing. A little watery mouth feel but solid.

Another tap at Luce in Hopkins. A copper color holiday ale that clings well to the pint glass. Aroma is light which serves as a precursor for the follow up taste. Just seems to be missing something like an increase in spices. Not an impressive beer but not a disappointment either. Itís like a Christmas with half the presents.

Tap. Clear copper. White head and good lacing. More subtle on aroma than I expected. Malty at first, then the spices hit. Wanted some darker spices in there. Ok, not great.
