| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 8, 2010 Transparent copper with a thin white head, loads of lacing. Nose is soap, oat, and orange... an odd combination that comes off too strong in every aspect. Flavor has a lot more bite, a syrupy orange and pine liquor feel with a blast of bark in the finish. Nose and flavor are quite different here, one shooting all over the place and missing, the other tuned in but overcooked. TheCaptain (576), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2010 Bottle. Orange gold pour with thin foam head. Floral hops with sweet grains and hops on the palate. A bit earthy with some dry bitterness in the finish. A good beer from the Lakes and worth a try. pete4999 (198), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 29, 2010 Bottle. Pours an amber/yellow with a white head. Smell is very piney, maybe wet-hopped? Some citrus, sure, but not as much as the pine. Taste is similar. Pine, some grapefruit and maybe some apricot. Enjoyable, and great for the price. dbarnold (42), Bethesda, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2010 I liked this IPA...not in competition to be the strongest thing every, just making a good beer....GREAT nose and a bold hop flavor with a nice clean finish. More of a well balanced IPA than a bruiser, and there’s nothing wrong with that. zach8270 (2201), Henrietta, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 27, 2010 (bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold color with a very thin layer of white head. Citrusy hops abound at the beginning of the aroma with a dry and floral note with hints of pepper underneath. Very bitter and resiny at the front of the flavor with a sweet and surprisingly malty middle. Flowery and citrusy hops come in at the finish and leave a very peppery hop taste on the tongue. Lingers for quite a while and the alcohol is well hidden. Jblauvs (684), Dover, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 25, 2010 Clear Copper pour with a solid foamy white head. Aroma is perfumey, a bit soapy, some nectarine, peach and some light booze and grass hop. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, Bitter Orange peel, light boozey notes and the same lightly soapy, perfumey and grassy hop make up that is present in the nose. Not bad, a little to much soap/detergent character. illidurit (953), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 22, 2010 Pours a clear orangey gold color with a good-sized but fairly fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet citrus and malts with a touch of spiciness. Flavor is rather banana-esque to me for some reason. This isn’t made with wheat as far as I know so I’m rather confused here. Anyway, the fruit salad theme continues with grapefruit and lychee, which makes this a rather sweet beer. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Pretty good but tasted like half-hefe half-IPA to me. jcos (108), Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 15, 2010 Bottle from trip to Cleveland around Thanksgiving. Pours a nice orange haze. Slight citrus aroma. Taste lightly sweet, medium bitterness. Covers the 7.5% alcohol pretty well. I like this IPA, and Great Lakes in general.
