milljam (562), Norman, Oklahoma, USA Jan 31, 2009 Pours a golden orange with a bit of haze. Aroma of grapefruit and pine. Flavor has hints of citrus, pine, resin, and some herbal notes. Not too sweet. Good mouthfeel. Fairly dry and bitter finish. A good session IPA. icculus801 (24), New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Jan 29, 2009 Very clear with a big white head. Leaves great lacing on the glass. Almost a biscuit flavor, but then the hops kick in on the end. Feels rich and smooth on the tongue. Not your typical IPA, but a great offering from GLBC nonetheless. HopDuvel99 (39), Tennessee, USA Jan 26, 2009 Cloudy amber with a small, off-white head. Intense fruity/hoppy bouquet. Full body, foamy mouthfeel. Sweet/malty at first, then hoppy/bitter, with a bitter finish. Great fresh, hoppy flavor. A very good IPA. mnovacanes (48), Munster, Indiana, USA Jan 25, 2009 Updated: Apr 9, 2009Appearance: Very clear; Big, off-white head with a frothy, big-bubbled appearance; richer golden color compared to other IPA’s
Aroma: More of a toasty, baked aroma compared to other IPA’s; almost coffee and cooked butter aroma
Flavor: A lot of the same aromas come through on the flavor profile; fuller, richer taste; different than most other IPA’s but somehow still very attractive
zer0crew (55), Duluth, Minnesota, USA Jan 24, 2009 Bottle. Pours an almost orange amber color. Not much of an aroma. Has a fair amount of lacing. A little bit of citrus. All in all, a quality IPA that’s worth trying. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Jan 17, 2009 Nice slightly hazy golden coloured body with a nice copper tint and a full frothy off-white head atop the beer. Aroma of fresh grapefruit and herbal hops along with plentiful malt, sugars and even some vegetable smells. Medium-bodied; Chewy malty taste up front with a fair amount of hops followed by a strong bitterness and a nice hoppy kick along with some of the sugars. Aftertaste shows bitter hops & malt, pit fruits and some nuts. Overall, a decent IPA - more of an APA to me, but all-in-all a decent beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle (Bottle Reads: Best by 19 Sep 06) purchased at Premier Gourmet in Buffalo, New York on 22 September 2006. blipp (1631), Newark, New Jersey, USA Jan 10, 2009 Bottle, best before 12/31/08. Pours golden orange with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy with citrus fruits and sweet malt. Despite the fact that it’s after the best before date, nice floral and citric hop notes still come through. Very nice. Narnad (682), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Jan 7, 2009 Pours a very clear orange-yellow color, with a thing frothy white head. Aroma is pretty bitter with a lot of pine hops aromas and a great malty bite. Flavor was hits strong at first of a very strong pine bitterness, some citrus notes but pretty faint, ending in a lotwith an almost Maris Otter malty bite at the end. Mouth feel is perfect for this beer with a moderate to high carbonation to boot. Overall, a great pine aroma combined with a solid malty bite make this beer one to respect from a very dependable brewery!
