Oct 5, 2008 5/11/08. Poured into a shaker pint. It pours a nice golden amber with a lasting white head. It smells heavily of floral and citrus hops but its also balanced out with some sweet malt. This is a really solid sessionable IPA. Its pretty easy to drink and the malt melds really well with the strong hoppiness. Really surprised by this one. Probably my second favorite from Great Lakes so far next to the Blackout Stout.

Oct 1, 2008 Bottle dated 10/24/08. Golden, looks thick, lacy head. Lots of flavor here: initially a bit sweet and fruity, some spiciness, but finishes with grapefruit juice aftertaste. Good balance of malt and hops. Can feel it in my ribs. Well-made IPA.

Sep 29, 2008 12oz Bottle. Pours very clean golden hay color with medium white head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Flavor definitely has malty sweetness which is combined with the citrus hops. Nice balance between malt and hops. Finish is a little dry.

Sep 23, 2008 Nice copper pour with small head. Aroma of citrus with slight grapefruit predominate. Taste is bitter, fruity and with a clean finish.

Sep 10, 2008 12 oz bottle, Wow a hidden gem! Did not have high expectation for this IPA. Excellent IPA, good balance! Poured a bit light with fluffy head, some lacing. Aroma jumped out immediately, smells of citrus, grapefruit, melons, hop freshness. Taste is soild, somewhat like a Jr. Two Hearted Ale. Balanced, and hoppy, although the after taste does not linger as much. An underrated IPA, in my opinion.

Sep 4, 2008 clear, light copper/orange color. head leaves behind some unusual lacing. aroma is very floral, light caramel, slight lemon. flavor is similar, very delicate, crisp, with moderate hoppiness and grassy, herbal finish. A different IPA if you ask me...not bad though!

Aug 29, 2008 Updated: Sep 7, 2008Pours copper with a small off white head. Aroma is wonderful, sweet and fruity (tangerines, grapefruit and melon). Great flavor to match, starts out sweet with some malts and the fruit, followed by a nice hoppy bitterness at the finish. Great balance of flavors, and it has a nice tart yet subtly sweet aftertaste. Leaves a nice lacing after every drink. Excellent, unique take on an IPA, underrated in my opinion.

Aug 28, 2008 12oz - Honey notas and a little too much sweetness on palate for me. A good ale, but by no means representative of the style. Still, I’ve had far worse takes.
