Great Lakes Commodore Perry IPA

Extremely fragrent sweet IPA with great Bitter finish. They put a lot into this beer. Amber color, modest carbonation, head, and lacing. You can smell the hops.

I’m very impressed with this IPA. I ordered a pint at the Yardhouse in Glenbrook. Nice color, decent head. Most importantly, a great hop bite with a fruity finish. And, it doesn’t have that weird malt taste that most Great lakes beers have. Good for IPA lovers, and those turned off by GL beers.

From a bottle. Light copper color. Aromas of citrus and floral hops. more of the same in the taste. slight bitter finish. good brew.

Tap. My expectations for this beer were not very high but it surprised me. This has a good amount of citrus and floral hops in the nose. Average bitterness but finishes clean and smooth. Very easy to drink but still can’t stand up to some other IPA’s.

Bottle. Pours a slightly lighter golden color than most IPAs out there. Has a nice white head. Nothing in the beer stands out and really grabs your attention, but all aspects are balanced and work well together to produce a solid, easy to drink, smooth, ale. Has light/moderate hop character in the aroma and flavor that is great for people not used to IPAs, but won’t satisfy any hop head out there.

bottle at kuma’s: this was a pretty solid IPA that was surprisingly fruity. nice hop taste. easy to drink. me gusto

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated dark yellow colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was musty and dirty sock. The crisp semi-thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thick flavor contained notes of malt and hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

spicey hops on nosing, on palate hops take reins & whips the boys on the ship to fight like hell. finish is nice and fairly clean, would have rated a little higher if the alcohol would have been mellower on finish. very good beer.
