Bottle to a glass mug. Pours a clear dark yellow color with an off white head that dissipates quickly. Lots of good hop notes on the nose of citrus and pine. Same with the flavors. Nice mouthfeel, and it leans more to the hop bitter than the malt, although there’s a nice balance.

Pretty color, though not much in the way of lace. Nice flavor, though there's not much aroma to tempt you.

I found this beer in the liquor section of the grocery store I go to every week. I thought it was very tasty and very easy to drink. There are two points that make it better. One was that it is 7.5%, the other is that it made me look up whom Commodore Perry is. Anyone who earns military rank at age 13 is good in my book considering you are lucky if any kid these days can wipe their own a*s at a comparable age. I just wish such a man was around to protect the Great Lakes so I don’t get stabbed with infected medical waste when I swim in the summer. Great Taste, High Alcohol, and a history lesson, who could ask for anything more?!

On the Fifth Day of Christmas 2013 the beer gods gave to me . . . a tasty IPA. Pours a golden light amber color with white foam head. aroma of grapefruit, caramel and pine. Sweet cities taste with caramel notes and a nice hop hit. Decent malt backbone.
