12oz. bottle - pours yellowish gold with a thick and foamy white cap. Citrus lemon aroma typical of the style. Sweet, with some earthy notes in the background. Flavour is very smooth grapefruit, orange, spice, earth, with a fairly big and bitter lingering finish. Actually, the dry bitterness is a big feature of this beer, otherwise it’s a pretty normal American IPA, but a good one.

12oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is soft/mild, but nice, citrus/lemon-hops, some medium malt/grain. Taste is sweet citrus/lemon/somewhat bitter grapefruit-hops, then some English hops too, medium malt-caramel/grainy, kind of an I2PA, some resin/plastic, although nice. OK carbonation. Thanks to Eddie Notch for picking this up.

12oz bottle. Very disappointing. Aroma is light and with notes of flowery hops. Small off-white head left good lace and mostly lasted. Clear pale amber hue.. Flavor is weak floral hops with some bitterness. Med bodied and flat. Served at recommended temp (45 F) but I wouldn’t recommend that. I found the beer to open up much more as I warmed it in my hands. This should have gotten a 2 for appearance but the head saved it. In no way is this beer monumental. Shameful for such a good brewery.

Bottle: Poured an orangey color ale with a big foamy head with some good retention but low lacing. Aroma of bitter hops with no discernable citrus notes of floral notes. Taste is also dominated by bitter hops with a dry finish and some weak caramel malt. Body is about average with some good carbonation. Slightly below the standard for the style and not the best from this great brewery.

Resiny hops on aroma and also dominating in taste. Quite dry but not all that pleasant.

Bottle. Pours clear gold color, thin off white head. Aroma is light, some citrus, but very light for an IPA. Taste is more citrus, orange and grapefruits. Decent bitterness that lingers. Medium body. Decent, but for some odd reason, I think I had an old bottle of this.

12 ounce bottle from SS summer 07
Pours a lighly hazed golden yellow with scant white head.
The aroma is grassy and herbal with touches of citrus candy. Toasted and light cara malt are noticeable.
A bit of grapefruit, grass, and herbs lead the way. Finishes plenty bitter. Just enough malt sweetness.
Medium/full body. Medium carbonation. Oily slick mouthfeel.
Not bad at all.

ith a thinnish dense white head thinning. Light floral hops over a fruity malty bit. The hop profile is similar to Burning River, the malt is lighter. A bit of thickness with low carbonation. A bit creamy. Floral hops, some pepper and slight alcohol over a sweet malt backbone. Reminds me of Burning River, but with fiercer hops, sweeter lighter malt, and some alcohol. Dry grassy hop finish. Bitter, but not too bitter, with a goo
