pet3rman (206), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 24, 2007 Golden with nice white head. Nose of pine and citrus. A very relaxed toned down IPA. Yet 7.5% on the alcohol scale. Not sure I could tell it was even 5%. Caramel malts cover for a nice sweetness throughout. I would say that it is sessionable. Not bad. GoBlue (93), Falls Church, Virginia, USA Feb 18, 2007 clear, deep gold with full white head. Aroma is malty, slightly piney with some citrus. NIcely balanced malt and hops with lingering bitterness and significant fruitiness. Ty5592 (1015), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 16, 2007 Bottle. No this is what I’m Talkin about! Cloudy orange color with fluffy white head. Citrus and slight caramel nose. The taste was fruity, bitter, and smooth. Well balanced beer. Good refreshing bite at the end. asteele8 (270), Mukilteo, Washington, USA Feb 6, 2007 Bottle thanks to DrBayern! Pours a golden hue with a nice white head on top. Aroma is grassy hops with caramel malts coming in easily. Flavor starts with a nice hop bite and bitterness. Flavors of orange and grass hops take the palate at the beginning, finishing off is a nice sweet pear aftertaste which is a mixture of hops and caramel malt. A pretty well-balanced IPA on the palate. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. A decent IPA. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Jan 23, 2007 Lots of malt with some nice hops in the aroma.Pours a light hazy gold with a medium off white head.Flavor has a nice hop bite.Medium to full mouthfeel with a nice bitterness in the finish. beerbuzzmontreal (2909), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Jan 22, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Clear golden pour with a thin white head. Mild aroma of hops. Good flavor of spicy hops with toasted malt and a bitter finish. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and gentle carbonation. There’s a nice balance between the hops and the malt. cbkschubert (1945), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA Jan 16, 2007 12 oz. bottle via trade with CaptainCougar - Pours a clear golden color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Light, fine carbonation. Nice lacing. Has a light bread and herbal hop aroma. Almost like popcorn. Has a slight, sweet grain malt flavor. Not over hopped. Not your typical AIPA. Medium body. No lingering after taste. Not what I was expecting, but still good. Thanks Tom. gsmitty80 (628), Washington DC, USA Jan 12, 2007 Thick and heavy IPA. Picked up a case from my buddy Rick at beer and pop to drink while brewing our Belgian triple styel ale w/orange. Very hard to put down more than one or two at a time but a good IPA none the less.
