UPDATED: OCT 28, 2006 Loved the hop bitterness from start to finish. Missed the off-setting malt sweetness and body.

Clear golden color with a beige head. Aroma of citrus and piney hops. Citrus hops make you pucker.

Pours an attractive, clear amber with a frothy head that has a yellowish cast. The hoppy aroma mixes with a little bit of pale crackery malt. The flavor is much less hoppy than expected, but this is still a tasty beer.

Orange body, off-white head, sweet malty nose with some PNW hops and a hint of diacetyl. Lush mouthfeel, very sweet body, medium finishing bitterness. I will rarely say this about an American IPA: this one needs more hops to balance out the malt.

Poured a clear orange-amber color with a small off white head. Hoppy aroma of citrus and pine with some notes of oranges. Malty start to the flavor with citrus hops that quickly take over. Pines then finishes it off. Long semi-dry bitter finish. Medium bodied.

don’t know why they keep honouring people in a war they lost, but this is a winning IPA. Very good aroma, with C-hop, and smooth although not fully bodied. Very nice orangey appearance. A touch of fruit. A good food accompaniment, and necessity due to the mouth-puckering bitterness.

Bottle. Pours sparkling golden with a fizzy white head. Grapefruity aroma. Nice medium light mouthfeel. Hops take center stage in the flavor, which are piney and slightly citric. Bitter finish is semi dry, grassy, with some notes of hay. Pretty solid.

Almost passed this by in the cooler. Glad I didn’t. The rich golden body and moderate frothy white head gave off a nice, citrus hop aroma with the faintest note of pine and just enough caramel sweetness to make it interesting. Medium body, smooth feel. The flavor was crisp and clean and refreshing. Nice IPA bitterness. Well-balanced. Quite good.

Had this on draft at the Winkin’ Lizard. My ears still hurt. Aroma was light on the hops. No head or lacing. Dark yellow color. Hoppier flavor than what the aroma indicated. Nice long finish. Mouthfeel was kind of flat. Not bad, but nothing I would want to take back to Atlanta on the plane.
