12oz bottle labeled Sep 26/06. Poured medium and see through golden color with a large sized white head. Aromas of citrus, spicey, and Iím getting a yestiness out of it. Tastes of grapefruit, oranges, and pine. Definitely hops here. Medium alcohol in the finish (a little too hot).

On tap @ Riverside in Kent 7/13/06: Light amber w/ a lasting white head. Pretty clear! Piney & lightly lemony citrus hops w/ a some herbal and grassy notes. Toasty malt is medium beyond the hops & lightly nutty for some reason. Caramel is almost absent, but itís there, mostly toasty malt and some bready notes make up for the lack of caramel, and a very light fruitiness. Well balanced but just to bitter w/ piney and herbal hop flavors. Toasty malt again in the palate in even balance w/ hops for flavor, and lightly fruity. Finish is herbal hop and lightly bitter w/ some grassy and caramel notes in the aftertaste which stays mostly grassy. Medium carbonation, medium body, smooth, well hidden alcohol. Itís been a while since Iíve had this, but Iím glad itís back!

This doesnít taste much different than burning river. Same kind of boring citrus hops. Has that potato flavor of the Conways Irish ale. Above average beer, pretty mediocre IPA. I expected more from this.

I belive this a usually a Brewpub exclusive, but I found it in Kent the Riverside. Pours, golden yellow with a thn white head. The aroma is nice hop fruit mix. The flavor is very similar to what the aroma promised. There was hint of pine in there. Nice clean finish. Another strong beer from Great Lakes.

Clear golden pour with a long-lasting rich effervescent head. Strong PNW hop aromas of grapefruit and pine. Surprisingly balanced flavor: The hop bitterness never dominates, the rich caramel sweetness supports the hop highlights perfectly. Very sessionable!

This beer pours a nice deep clear golden color with a decent effervescence. Very stinky citric and earthy hops in the aroma. The flavor is dominated by earthy hop flavor. The back end is well balanced. No alcohol or bitterness domination. Good balance between a sweet malt flavor, bitterness, and lasting hop flavors.

Very nicely crafted, its only flaw in that itís not being aggressive enough with the hops. Golden bodied with a well sustained, fine lacing head, itís got an aroma of grapefruit, pine, and wildflowers over a solid caramel base. Caramel and toffee support the strong citric and resinous bitterness, all well balanced, until the hops surge forward for a prolonged, bitter finish. Sessionable, even at its 7.5% abv.

Pours a clear darker golden color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is of citrus, mainly grapefruit, and floral hops with caramel and biscuity malts. Flavor is of grapefruit, pine, and floral hops. Finishes with caramel and dough flavors with a slight bitterness. A decent brew but not my favorite from GLBC.
