4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer is a clear dark golden-amber color with a medium fluffy off-white head with decent retention. Thin sheets of lacing. Aroma of grassy hops and citrus. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Piney hops at first, with sweet malt and spices in the background. At 7.5%, the beer seems to straddle the line between "Regular" and "Imperial" IPA. The finish is bitter hops at first, with a resiny malt undertone. The aftertaste is long-lasting and dry. As with most of GLBC’s beers, this is well done.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap @ Underbar - Chicago: Orange in color with a thin off white head. Aromas of tangerine, orange and hops. I didn’t know it was an ipa when i ordered but now i can tell, but not by much. The flavors are hoppy, grapefruit, orange, and malt with a lightly bitter finish. Although the abv seems higher than it tasted, this would make a good session beer.

Nice hops. I swear I got a taste of some strawberry and/or bubble gum. Typical bitterness in the finish. Fruity aromas. Good but not ground breaking.

Another gputty hookup. Clear gold with a wiisp of a white head. Orange and grapefruit nose, some herbal notes. Nice, intense bitter flavor, herbal and floral. Pepper and citrus rind finish.

Not especially hoppy for an IPA. Floral aftertaste. Nothing that sperates it form others in the same category.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to Sliffy for this one. Pours out a light copper color with a small white head. The aroma is rather plain, some hops there but not overlly obvious. The taste is somewhat light for the alcohol content, but what it lacked on aroma it made up on taste. Nice balance only complaint is that it wasn’t hoppy enough. Flavors of floral hops and some sweet malts.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pretty pale gold color, crystal clear, with smallish white head. Aroma has mild musty, citrusy hops, mildly spicey, with a bit of light caramel and kilned malts. Flavor has grainy malts, bit of spicey hops, touch of vanilla and caramel. Finish has a mildly bitter, smooth finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a clear deep golden with a nice, well-lacing wispy white head. Aroma is fairly assertive and hoppy with a mild touch of sweeter caramel malt showing up. Body starts with a light sugary malty sweetness with a slight corn and cooked vegetable flavor, only momentarily before some fresh piney hops take over and lead to a drier bittersweet and crisp finish. A decent IPA that would be very nice were it not for the off-flavor.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to Moejuck for this one. Very bitter on the tongue. Not real hoppy but bitter anyway. A bit of malts and fruit but bitter on the tongue in a tasty way. A nice offering from Great Lakes.
