esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Apr 4, 2009 Hazy orange with a thin foamy off-white head that sinks into lake Erie and leaves some lace. Aroma of citrus, malt, caramel, grain and mild alcohol. Taste of citrus, alcohol, burnt malt, caramel, mild corn. Finishes up mildly bitter and vegetal with a sweet citrus hop mixed in. I wasn’t too keen on it at first, but after it warmed a bit I enjoyed it. JaBier (1130), Capital City, Ohio, USA Apr 4, 2009 On tap at Winking Lizard Crosswoods location. Pours clear copper/amber with a medium off-white head. Citrusy simcoe hop aroma with a teeny bit of malt balance. Bitter citrus flavor with a bit of bready malt and a lingering bitter finish. shawnm213 (882), South Bend, Indiana, USA Mar 30, 2009 draft. enjoyed this beer with a cigar. was very relaxing. better from the draft than the bottle. very tasty brew Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Mar 24, 2009 Courtesy of MikeTD. Pours gold with a white head. Smells grassy and earthy. Tastes spicy and resiny with a dry finish. Very restrained. FunkyBrewster (436), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 8, 2009 Pours a deep glowing orange with a very slight haze and a creamy white head. Aroma is nice but a bit one dimensional. Only one sort of hop is present and it isn’t bad, just a bit boring. Some caramel and light fruitiness as well. Flavor is much better with more of a burst than the aroma. Starts out with hints of honey with sweet malt and caramel, fairly subdued. Opens up to a slightly more bitter edge with some pine and citrus hops. Stays subdued again on bitterness until the swallow where a more biting bitter edge hugs the throat and the hop resins stay for a bit. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fairly refreshing IPA that is straightforward and easy drinking despite a relative high abv. ThaBobfather (178), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Mar 6, 2009 Fun aroma of hops and flowers. This is a great look for an IPA. Nice amber tone and great head. The flavor is good, a little too bitter on the back end. It gets a little too bitter on the finish. Nice quality. jdmaher58 (22), Dover, Ohio, USA Mar 4, 2009 love this beer. Cleveland rocks.
