Medium bodied and well hopped with dry, fruity aftertaste, this monumental India Pale Ale honors the hero from The War of 1812 who battled the enemy on Lake Erie.

Aromas of sweet corn, concord grape, strawberry candy, peach, pink grapefruit. Nearly clear complexion, the hue is light amber with deep orange highlights, and the head foam is sticky, bubbly white with great retention. Quite dry, sharp citrus rind upfront, orange candy, bitter iced black tea. Light-medium bodied, crisp.

From bottle, clear amber pour with head on the heavier side. Good retention. Aroma is floral and citrus hops with some toasted malt. Taste definitely showcases some toastiness with very palatable citrus and subtle earthiness all around. Always a solid brew.

clear amber color; citrusy, grapefruit hop aroma; great citrusy hop flavor; a blast of grapefruit, citrusy hops up front with some herbal notes on a well-balanced medium bodied caramel malt background and a dry, bitter finish

12 oz. bottle from The Hop Yard, Raleigh, NC. Dark orange pour with a frothy white head. Aroma of grapefruit and tangerine with light caramel malts. Bitter citrus hop taste with a sturdy sweet malt backbone. Moderate bitter finish on the palate. A nicely done IPA.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange colour with nice foamy white head. Aroma is cirtrus, malts. Taste is citrus, with some caramel malts. Very good beer from a very good beer making company.

12 oz bottle from Niagara Falls Wegmans. Pours a clear deep golden colour with modest-sized white head. Aroma is fruity and sweetish with herbal hoppiness and grains. Flavour is apricot and other tropical fruit, a solid herbal and slightly floral bitterness as well as some dusty grains. Dry finish. Average plus body. Nice.

Poured a hazy orange color with almost no head. Aroma has lots of apricots and orange. Taste is creamy with good fruity flavors and citrus hops balance it out. A little on the sweet/syrupy side with a nice finish. Overall very nice!

Draft @ the source with the glass in hand. Great aroma, tropical fruit, mild grapefruit, sweet grainy hints. Flavor has a mild level of bitterness with plenty of fruit with a mild herbal quality. Pretty easy drinking and a nice single IPA.

Pours hazy gold more yellow than orange with a tall foamy white head. Wet lacing. Aroma is caramel malt and citrus and peach. Taste is quite balanced and rich. Active on the palate in terms of carbonation. Slightly sweet citrus upfront - peach and orange with some floral - and solid caramel malts. Grapefruity hop bitterness follows with an astringent finish and a dry, bitter aftertaste. I like this beer. It is sort of a half-imperial.
