On tap @ MadMex: Pours a reddish amber with a light tan head. Aroma, some caramel, some grassy hops, nutty, and roasty. Flavor, caramel, some bready notes, earthy, nice and refreshing. I love this stuff.

Had this as a draft at a local brewhouse. Very nice reddish color. The aftertase did not over power you. All in all, really a pretty good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at GLBC. One o fthe better Irish Ales out there. Pours a medium amber with a fluffy light delicate head which fades slightly. Aroma is sharp and malty, caramel, toffee, and light herbal hops. Flavor has tea-like english hops, light crystal malt, and a moderate hop bitterness. Ok mouthfeel, slightly slick and nicely sweet.

This beer poured a bright red, sparkling color with good head formation. Aroma was lightly malty with good caramel smells coming off of it. Taste was OK, but a bit ho-hum. Mouthfeel was typical. I would call this beer drinkable, but in a world with so many choices, I have a hard time strongly recommending it.

12oz, please enjoy by 03/27/07. Pours a crystal clear orange caramel with a 1 1/2 finger light yellow white head that fades to a thick film. Aroma of some sweet caramel and toasty malts, light fresh dirt and piney hops that seem a bit sweet as well. Flavor has an added buttery characteristic. There is still the caramel, toast and pine, though the dirt is gone. Minimal bitterness with a sweet finish. Light to medium bodied with moderate smooth carbonation. Quite happy with this one.

Amber color. Smell of roasted malt, oranges, zest, honey, hops and a hint of nuts. Tastes the same but a little to weak. Not really that special.

Must try more Irish ales! That is my new New Years resolusion. What a tasty and beautiful beer! The pour was a bubbly red with a off-white 2 finger head that laced the whole way down. The taste was a perfect mix of malt and hops. Nice and complex beer. Bring on the Irish!
