chicagodri (395), Chicago, Illinois, USA May 4, 2008 A solid beer from Great Lakes. Not my favorite style, but very well done for what it is. Pours gold with a white head. Light aroma. Nice bitterness to go along with the malt.
Homer321 (4), Rockledge, Florida, USA does not count Jul 6, 2008 Aroma is very malty with some honey and caramel notes. This beer is fairly clear, although I havs seen clearer, a dark golden color. Flavor is slightly buttery, very smooth. Very slight taste of vegetables, probably from adjuncts. Palate is good, very drinkable. Overalll, a very, very good beer, espiecially for the style. I would definitely buy this if I could get it on a regular basis. Hollywoodt (161), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Jul 4, 2008 Bottle. Poured a medium golden color with minimal off-white head. Aroma was a bit malty. Flavor was just a touch sweet, malty, and hoppy on the back end. It was OK. sja14 (32), Ohio, USA Jul 4, 2008 I really enjoy this beer. I’ve had it probably 50 times but only now am I rating it. Not particularly a fan of the lagers including dortmunders but this beer is consistently delicious. Great full body with a nnice malty flavor balanced out beautifully by a noticeable hop presence. Great beer with food. ontheroad (21), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 3, 2008 Pours a beautiful golden color and slightly hoppy aroma with a foamy, but short-lived head. Has a smooth malty flavor with a sharper, hoppier finish. pojo41 (275), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jun 28, 2008 Bottle. Brilliant gold color wioth a nice white head that stayed a while. Pretty good hop aroma slightly overshadowing the malt aroma. Clean, crisp flavor of malt just slightly overshadowed by the hop bitterness and flavor. Good mouthfeel; not too heavy but, not too thin either. Very drinkable. A very tasty lager.
