Really liked this lager. Distinct but good flavor, a lot different than most beers, good for a change.

Gold pour with great clarity. Nice white head and lacing down the glass. Toasty and bready nose. The beer is a great example of the style but doesn’t beet drinking fresh Helles on tap in the Bavarian country side.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very solid. Gold pour with white head and cling. Nose of wet malt and mild hops. Taste is super crisp with maybe a hint of fruit. Has a pilsner quality to it but super clean. Light and airy on the palate. This is a drink all day beer for sure.

12oz bottle thanks to my dog dmac. Forgot I had this one chillin in the fridge. Shared with Bob F. after work. Pours a hazy copper color with a small fizzy off white head. Aroma of nice caramel/toffee malts, light citrus notes, urine, and lager yeast. Taste of toast, orange marmalade, citrus peel, caramel malt, and grassy hops.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle. This has to be one of the best helles-style beers I’ve had! It poured a bright gold color with a substantial white head and great lacing. The nose was crisp, fruity and balanced well. The flavors were also balanced incredibly well, with a great mix of bready malts and spicy hops. The body is extremely smooth and drinkable. This makes for a great session beer and an excellent helles.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a bit hazy and orange-tinged gold with a solid, lasting one-finger head that leaves some lacing and coagulates like yeast when it settles. Aroma is grass, noble hops and yeasty buttered bread. Taste is quite complex for a classic lager and very well-balanced. Sweet malts and noble hops with flavors of bread, faint citrus and earthy grass. Crisp, hearty and a top-notch example of its style. Perhaps the best non-German variation of a German beer that I've had.
