Complex, roasty aroma with a bittersweet, chocolate-coffee taste and a bold hop presence.

One of the beers i always keep in the fridge. Consistent good, roasty taste. Great Lakes is good for a handful of good beers, just as a Stone, Bells, etc

Pours black with a hint of brown. Small head, minimal carbonation. Aroma of roasted dark chocolate coffee grinds. Rich taste with coffee upfront melting into dark chocolate and milk mixed with more coffee. Brewed according in compliance with the German beer purity laws per bottle. Goes well with Gordon Lightfoot, you know which song.

Cocoa roasted malt aroma and flavor. Full bodied with a dry finish. Smooth Porter. Bit of a lactose smoothness. Pretty enjoyable and well done Porter ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Easy drinking porter. A little to light for my liking. More hops than I’m used to in a porter. Solid flavor though with a dry finish. Decent but not amongst my favorites.

Smooth, dark, coffee-chocolate taste...there is nothing I don't love about this beer. It goes with everything, and light enough to drink any time of year. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a highly carbonated dark cola. Brown cream head. Licorice and toasted oat aroma. Toasted oatmeal cookie taste with balanced licorice bitter. Light and slightly sticky mouthfeel with a light chocolate aftertaste.

Pours a deep brown with minimal head. Aroma is sweet. Toasted malt with hints of caramel and toffee. Toasted malt flavor leads before the coffee and chocolate come in. Nice dry, dark chocolate finish with a clear hop presence. Very good.

One of my favorites. Great flavor yet still smooth enough to drink all day. I recommend it.

Pours a dark brown. Consistency is thin, slightly oily with very thin head and some lacing. The aroma is somewhat sweet and pleasant. There is some carbonation and a slight bitter aftertaste. I did not like this very much. It was too light for a Porter and the bitterness was not very enjoyable.

Dark brown pour with a white head. The aroma has milk chocolate and coffee. It has a medium body with sticky texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a more roasted finish.
